A Portland-based pet food company issued a nationwide voluntary recall after a house cat in Oregon passed away from eating one of its products, which tested positive for bird flu.

Morasch Meats of Portland is voluntarily recalling Northwest Naturals brand 2lb Feline Turkey Recipe raw and frozen pet food due to HPAI contamination.

**Holiday Clinic Hours**

Always a good reminder, especially this time of year when treats and baking are all around us! It's best to keep those chocolate goodies safely out of your pets reach, but accidents do happen. Call your veterinarian and/or Poison Control right away if you believe your furry friend ingested something they shouldn't have!

**UPDATE- Owner found! Thank you everyone!!**

We had a Good Samaritan bring in a young adult, male, Border Collie cross. Neutered, no microchip. He was found at the Lil Pantry in White City.
The wonderful people who found him are willing to keep him safe in their home for a few days. If you know where this sweet pup belongs, please give her a call at 458-225-4988.

Several beautiful holiday plants can actually be dangerous for our furry friends. Keep the plants below safely away from your pets! Christmas trees may be a little more difficult to keep out of reach, but it is important to keep fallen needles cleaned up. While the trees aren't toxic themselves, the needles can cause oral irritation, and in excessive amounts, gastrointestinal upset.

Important reminder to make some noise before starting your vehicles in this cold, wet weather. Our feline friends tend to hide in wheel wells and under hoods to stay dry and warm. Banging on your hood or honking your horn before starting the engine could save a life!
