Looking for a dedicated individual to join our team at a busy groom shop in Eagle. Professional experience working with animals would be great but not required, we are willing to train!

Available schedule is Monday through Friday 9am-4pm.

Pay starts at $13/hr with the potential to earn tips and raises when certain skills are acquired.

Duties include:

-Bathing

-Brushing

-Drying

-General cleaning

-Assisting groomers when needed

Often, we need to help educate clients on proper pet care and setting them up with maintenance appointments so strong customer communication skills is a must. Our customers treat their pets like family, and we are looking for honest, dependable, kind and caring individuals that know how to treat the animals while making them look fantastic!

Requirements for the Groomer:

· Must love animals and be able to handle all dogs and conditions with compassion (puppy, senior, misbehaved, medical issues)
· Must have a positive attitude, be punctual, and reliable
· Must have a strong work ethic
· Must have good handling skills
· Be able to lift medium to large size breeds
· Provide excellent customer service and communication skills
· Experience as GROOMER/STYLIST required
· Team player
· Cruelty free! (No yelling, hurting, or excessive restraint)
· Experience with dye is a plus, but not a necessity

These vibrant ears are how his genius owner identifies him on the play cameras at daycare! We love that she was able to use this creative groom as something practical in their day to day.

We use only pet safe dyes that are vegan and non-toxic, and this incredible color only added about 45 minutes to their service today.

For those of you who don’t already know, our air conditioning failed today. 🥵😭

Because we are not able to have it looked at until tomorrow afternoon we have decided it’s best to close the shop for tomorrow.

Oh. My. Dog…It is hot outside‼️☀️☀️🥵

With temperatures in the 100’s over this next week, of course we’re all trying our best to keep our furry friends as cool as possible.

But in an article for the AKC, Harriet Meyers says “Dogs cool down a lot differently than we do, and shaving really has no big impact on cooling them down.”

It’s best not to shave a dog with an undercoat, as that layer helps to insulate them from the elements. Instead we can pull out some of that fluffy, shedding fur while leaving intact their natural cooling system.

To help your pup beat the heat, lets get them in for a nice bath and deshed to help keep them comfortable all summer long! 😌
