2021 Rio Bravo Suriname. Baby pic vs recent. He’s the one at the bottom with the darker saddles. His development is wild 🔥. I really dig the circular patterns too, it’s a nice change from all the high peak Surinames I have.

Suriname dropped this early dawn, unfortunately 26 slugs and 3 stillborns. But at least it confirms what I speculated about the male, that he is proven gene for ladder tail because all 3 stillborns had the ladder tail. He sired 2 other females in the past and every baby had the ladder tail (and some reverse stripe). Love the bold patterning too.

Female is doing fine and is about to get fed a jumbo rat that I had thawed out prepared for this moment.

DM if interested. Drenched in colors, this is a 2021 Enzo X Passera Suriname. I raised him since he was a baby. I’m shipping several animals this week and I pretty much determined that if he is not rehomed before tuesday then I’m keeping him to pair next year.

P.S. He is the most colorful suriname in my whole collection, even more colorful than my adult Passera so I can’t imagine him as an adult. He will add color to any suriname breeding project. By the time you DM me I’m very likely gonna change my mind, that’s how much I want to keep him 😂

P.S.S. Photos don’t do him justice, it was very cloudy outside. Not the best conditions for photos.

P.S.S.S. Photo of parents in the comments.

Passera line Suriname male available. DM !

Photos are crappy bcz he wouldn’t stay still and he’s entering shed. He has a long reverse stripe tail and he’s almost completely missing the side medallions (rare).

Originally imported from Italy as a baby.

Produced by Mike Eckert. 2022 female. Expecting litters soon and must make the hard choice of letting go of some stunners.

She’s the most colorful laddertail I have and was one of his holdbacks. Shots taken during golden hour.

*update*
Forgot to say she’s het for super.

Stunning female Iquitos Peruvian. DM if interested.

She’s about 3 years old (i’ll dig up her exact birth date if interested). Has the highest saddle count I ever seen in a Peruvians + a small reverse stripe on the tail, and a cool head-stamp.

Very solid lineage from Germany (I imported 8 of them when they were babies). I have all the info on the parents + grandparents (imported from Peru).

Peruvian, potentially gravid. Can you see those slight bumps above the tail area? Her belly was even smaller than that last time she was gravid and she had 8 slugs, 1 stillborn and 4 live (only two survived).

Point is even when they don’t look gravid sometimes they surprise you. The reason why only two survived in the last litter was bcz I lost patience and fed her near the due date, and that resulted in premature babies. I really thought nothing was coming as her belly did not appear gravid at all.

I learned from that mistake. Always wait it out to be sure and never feed in the last month before the due date.

I have about 20 Parsons and NONE of them ever darkened like this. She is darkening with every shed. I am now convinced it’s an img gene, in a Guyana!

I added a 2nd photo of one of my other Parsons (who is not even my lightest one) to show you the HUGE DIFFERENCE. Both are siblings from the same litter.

Here’s the kicker… my iphone seems to be trying hard to auto-brighting to compensate for the dark area while I took the photo up close. She’s darker than what the photo shows.

To prove that I went further back and took another photo (see the comments)!

PM me if interested:

2020 Parsons ladder tail male, produced by Mike Eckert. It was his holdback so it wasn’t cheap for me to acquire. Mike is not gonna be producing more anytime soon (likely for years) bc he moved and rehomed his breeders.

I have other “normals” too if interested. Will get updated photo when I can.

Its been a crazy past 3 months. Life, business, family, along with downs and ups. But will start being active again.

Made a few pairings in Nov - Dec. I think I see the first massive ovulation. Lots of courting the past couple months with these two. Suddenly he stopped 3 days ago. Good signs.

This is the rio bravo who I paired the broken-saddled Blast male. She hasn’t eaten in 5 month and still looks thick. She refused meals during this entire time, but I stopped offering a month ago so that I don’t run the risk of premature babies. I don’t see anything moving towards the end of the belly like a gravid female would when it’s close to being due. Her being dark is not a sign as she’s always been dark, she’s always been thick too so can’t tell based on that, and she’s always favored the warm spot even before I paired her, so she’s not giving me much signs to go off lol.

The only sign was meal refusal but that could also be anything else! Let me know what you guys think?

Photo from 3 weeks ago but currently still looks the same.

Left pic: 2022 Guyana.
Right pic: 2023 Peruvian born here.

At 3 month old this Peruvian is already as big as the one year old Guyana. The Peruvian is being fed less than the guyana when she was at his age so this is not due to feeding. She was also born premature and struggled to eat for the first month… crazy right!

In my hands are 2 baby peruvians born this year (photo after 2nd shed). Bred for color via my two most golden Peruvians. One is still the usual baby grey as you can see on the left, and the other is developing differently with a tint (not fully shown on the phone pic). I’m very optimistic based on these signs.
