Can you help? The shelter is in a CRITICAL status!!!

🚨 CRISIS FOR SPACE: Our shelter is overwhelmed - we are temporarily shifting to ❗️sick/injured intakes only❗️

We have 451 animals right now - 299 under our roof and 152 in foster 💔

To give you some insight, of these 451 animals:
🏡 161 are available for adoption
🦮 22 on stray hold
🚑 31 are in intensive medical care
🚔 14 are on hold for cruelty/neglect cases + another 13 on hold because the owner was arrested for non-animal related reasons 😞
🍼 126 are too little for adoption yet
❤️ the rest are a handful of misc reasons - in training, working through behaviors, waiting for spay/neuter, etc

We can't help more animals until the ones in our care find safe placements 🥺

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
🌟 Adopt! Every animal available for adoption is included in the adoption special - spin the wheel & land on $5-$25 adoption fee! The MAX is $25!

🦮 Foster! Even a night or weekend away can help these babies get a break from shelter life 🥺 (and studies have proven it doesn't cause them additional stress to come back!)

🐕 Volunteer! Spend an hour of your time to make the animals feel special 🥹

🍔 Donate supplies! Purina Dog Chow, treats, Puppy Chow, Kitten Chow, wet food of any kind, used linens, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent. Anything and everything helps!

We remain dedicated to never euthanizing animals for length of stay or because we're overcrowded - which means we need your help to find these animals homes before we can help the next ones in need.

So apparently this momma is a stray living in the crawl space of this house.
She's part of a stray colony of about 30 cats in North Charleston. I'm going to do what I can to help. There's 3 to 4 mommas wondering around that has kittens. The mommas keep relocating them daily!😭😭😭😭

Marshmallow needs a hero.

As he approaches 13 years old, this little trooper is battling kidney disease, dealing with rotten teeth, and has experienced stress-related seizures in the shelter. He’s in desperate need of a hospice foster to spend his golden days in comfort and peace.

About Marshmallow:
🐾 Great with other animals, as long as they give him space.
🐾 Loves short walks and enjoys sniffing around new places.
🐾 Not extremely affectionate, but always wants to be near you.
🐾 His favorite show? Law & Order! 📺
🐾 Loves car rides, the wind in his fur, and peaceful music.
🐾 Favorite spot: A cozy rocking chair.

Though Marshmallow still has a zest for life, the stress of shelter living is taking its toll. He needs out, and he needs it fast. With a prognosis of one to two years, we’re looking for a compassionate foster willing to administer his medications and take him to vet appointments. 🏡❤️
