Why is it recommended to spay/neuter your animals?

Well! In some genes it is extremely common to have cancer of the reproductive systems! Not only that but it can also cause behavioral problems!

In boys: testicular cancer can be an issue in your dogs health and in their lifespan. Also the hormones can cause aggression and territorial behaviors such as “Marking”.

In girls: Cancer in the ovaries or mammary glands is a risk. Along with uterine infection called Pyometra. If left untreated can cause infection in the bloodstream and your pet can pass away. Behavioral problems such as aggression and dislike of other females can be a problem is not spayed quick enough.

Have any question? Need help finding a vet clinic? Drop your needs in our comments or in our messenger! We’re happy to educate!

I realized that I haven’t given an update in a while.

Oscar (Parvo survivor previously named Provolone) is doing good! He’s gained weight and is now growing like a w**d!! We got DNA results that says he’s a Rottweiler, Australian Cattle dog and Chihuahua mix! It’s quite possible that he will be bigger than Otis.

Otis is doing better! So much better. He eats a lot and we can’t love him enough!! He’s so sweet and perfect!! 🙂 Lots of energy and wants to go for our runs again.

This morning I called to see how Otis was holding up. They said he didn’t vomit or have liquid poo’s last night. They then said how he just isn’t eating but they are willing to let him come home! And if he didn’t eat tomorrow then to call again.

Well. We went and got him! I can not tell you how excited I am and how excited he was!! He just is so excited to be home. Now, recovery starts. Getting him to eat is the first step! Next step is as follows. Get better!!

We’ve rescued these 4 sweethearts.
On our towns page they were found abandoned in almost 90degree heat!
I brought them home gave them formula which they lapped up within seconds. Along with wet food!

Provolone (Provo)- brown with white muzzle.
Harvarti (Harvey) - Brown face only
Cheddar -Black and brown on face
Brie - Small black with white belly.

Brie would be the worst out of all of them. She is so tiny. So malnourished and can barely eat. I have to coax her pretty much every time I give milk. She constantly sleeps and can only walk a couple feet before having to sleep again. I’ll be up every couple hours to make sure she eats.

Everyone else is comfortable and safe, after food they finally got some energy. Happy bellies!!

Any donations are welcome. You can send them through:

PayPal: Randilync

All proceeds will go towards Vet visits, vaccinations, puppy formula and food, and any healthcare they need!

Otis has Turned 3 weeks old.

Lots of changes. His eyes are open more, he can see things! He loves to play and chew. His canines have punctured through and his little teeth’s are slowly coming through. His nose spots have also changed! Which is super cute.
Hes gained from 11.5 the day we got him. To 2lb 5 ounces!! Lots of weight for my little boy!
We have decided he might be a Am Staff. We’re still waiting for him to grow older and show more traits of any breed he might be crossed with.

Question of the day!
*How many animals do you have?*

Welcome to Tails ‘N Scales animal rescue and education Page!

I am happy to announce the birth of this Rescue and Education Page, and hope you all enjoy what I post! Let’s introduce how I got started.

December 13th 2019- As I was bringing my mother and father home from dropping a truck off to be repaired, I had felt drawn to Petco. I asked Mom to let me go in and she reluctantly said YES, and in telling me yes she said no more hamsters. As we walked through the doors I knew something was different. I saw a little sign saying “Female Hamster, previously sick. Needs experienced home”. I looked at my mom and said. “I have to meet her”. And we did. This poor Ham was sick, she wasn’t eating real well and she had mutilated her ge****ls. The person at the place explained she was on the mend of having wet tail 3 times. (This is false and I’ll explain why). I had brought her home, but she passed away 3 days later.
Wet tail is a bacterial infection of the digestive tract. Very similar to Parvo in Dogs. Once an animal gets better from it. They are immune. So this poor girl had Diarrhea and they treated for wet tail which, then gave her wet tail cause of all the stress on her system.
The night Agnes Passed away my life changed. I knew I HAD to do something about no one teaching about hamsters, or any animal, and some Petstores employees not knowing as much as some expirienced pet owners do. I had applied to over 10 places on that Tuesday. Thursday I was called by a PetSmart down in temecula, long story short, I was hired and I have worked there for 10 months! I love it.

The reason I am starting this rescue is because, over my 10 months. I have taken in over 20 animals to either, help pass away peacefully in a loving home, or to help them get better with any sickness to go to a loving home, or take from a terrible situation!

I believe it’s time we stand up and learn about new pets BEFORE we just throw money at a pet store. I do love Petsmart and continue to work every day there.
Listen, Learn, Love.
