Sedgeblac Retrievers We are a mother/daughter duo who love to compete in conformation, agility, obedience, rally obedience, and hunting tests.

Our dogs have won many top honors including Best in Veteran Sweepstakes at an American Chesapeake Club National Specialty, induction into the Flat-coated Retriever Society of America Hall of Fame, Sporting group placements, Grand Championships, Master Hunter titles, and Master Agility titles. We are located in a suburb of Buffalo in Western New York. Kim is a practicing
Veterinarian and Sandy is a

retired research scientist, so we have a thorough
understanding of the genetics and heritability of dogs. We breed infrequently but when we do breed we put a lot of thought into choosing who to breed, always aiming to improve upon health, conformation, temperament/personality, and intelligence in the next generation. Although we love to compete with our dogs, they are all house pets who live in the house with us and all puppies are raised in the house too.

We are excited to share that Cliff & Fly are expecting puppies June 17th! This will be our last litter for a few years and I have room for 1 more deposit.

Fly earned her Championship easily, placed 2nd in the very large Hunting Sweepstakes class at the 2023 ACC National Specialty and under the training & handling of Next Generation Dogs she earned her Senior Hunter title easily.

Due to someone’s change in plans we have 1 boy available from this litter. Daddy Barnabas was recently awarded a Group 1 & Group 2 and brother Mountain from the first breeding got his 3rd CC in Sweden towards his Championship at just 10 months old! Contact me for more info

They start leaving this weekend, I'm really going to miss these guys. What a lovely litter with awesome temperaments. I've never fallen in love with every puppy in a litter before, I would have been happy keep each and every one out of this litter!
