Tis the season to be grateful, and we're grateful to help prevent dental disease. According to the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC), dogs and cats should have a veterinary dental cleaning annually starting at age two, or sooner if they have some other oral health problem identified earlier.

With 12 years of experience in the pet grooming industry, Lynnanne has had the pleasure of working in various salons across multiple states, adapting her skills to diverse clientele throughout her husband’s military career. Now, as they settle down in Pennsylvania, she is thrilled to continue her journey in pet styling.

She specializes in a wide range of breed cuts and styles, with a particular passion for poodles and schnauzers. We are so excited to welcome Dr. Steven Kelly to our Heart + Paw - Callowhill team! Dr. Kelly is accepting new clients! Read his bio below and book a visit with him now.

Dr. Kelly first became interested in veterinary medicine after his freshman year at The College of New Jersey. He worked as a kennel staff member at a small animal veterinary hospital during summer break and he fell in love with veterinary medicine.

After graduating from The College of New Jersey, he went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kelly decided to stay in Philadelphia following veterinary school and joined Heart + Paw in 2023. His clinical interests include soft tissue surgery, orthopedics, and dermatology.

In his spare time, Dr. Kelly enjoys traveling with his fiancé Meghan, sampling some of the many fine craft beer breweries in Philadelphia, playing sports, running, and playing with his Pit Bull Bindi and cat Pickles.

We are so excited to welcome Dr. Nicole Romanzi, VMD, to our Heart + Paw - Callowhill family!

Dr. Romanzi always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. As a child, her vast collection of stuffed animals were always well-cared for with a toy doctor's kit. She learned to sew at a young age so that any rips and tears could be quickly repaired with minor surgery.

Dr. Romanzi grew up with a pet rabbit, a sweet yellow lab, and a myriad of fish, but she fell in love with cats when her best friend brought home a rescue kitten who became her constant crafting partner and shadow. A few years later, another rescue cat joined them and quickly became the family lovebug - helping her through veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania.

After graduating, she spent the next year in practice with everything from the smallest reptiles to the largest dogs, but missed being in Philadelphia where she had made her home. No creature is too small and her home now includes two elderly rescue rats along with her cats!

We are so excited to have Dr. Romanzi with us and we know you will be too! We accept walk-ins and are always happy to book an appointment.

Starting Monday, February 28, two pet parents will be able to enter our center with their pet at the time of their appointment! We will still be following CDC and local guidelines around masking, social distancing, and no food or drinks indoors. Pet parents who have experienced any symptoms or have been exposed within the past five days of their appointment time must reschedule.

Our goal is to treat our families and their pets like family. We are so excited to welcome you!
