Senior dogs are the absolute best! Sabre is dog and kid friendly and a complete social butterfly. She loves to be out and about and meet new people so joyous and happy, you can take her on all your adventures! She loves a car ride!! At 11 years old, she still has a playful side but has all of those adult dog desirable requirements (crate trained, potty trained, trusted unsupervised). We do suggest a home that is one level or has minimal steps at this time. Truman is feeling pretty confident about his adoption chances thanks to Cheryl Linton! He told her to only get his good side. I'm pretty sure Cheryl realized quickly that Tru only has a good side! 😍
His profile pics are the best! Don't worry about being catfished, he's this cute in real life! Truman is 44 lbs and 5ish years old. He is housebroken and crate trained. I think he would do fine free ranging in a home after he's had time to adjust.
Tru is a real attention getter wherever he goes! He doesn't let it go to his head though. We had so many people tell us this weekend that they came out specifically to see him. Truman was feeling pretty good about his chances at finding his match but so far no one has put in an application. It hurts my heart because he has so much love to give.
Trubear is friendly with cats. He likes kids and people. He's a very person oriented dog. He loves any positive attention. Tru gets along great with his foster sisters. He is selective with male dog companions.
Believe it or not, Trudie Pie was on the list for euthanasia at his local AC. Pet Pack Rescue Initiative stepped in to save him. Tru has some scars that suggest he wasn't treated well before he got to AC. He has some boo-boos on his feet. They've healed but due to not receiving the proper care when he sustained the injuries, he isn't a huge fan of long walks. Short ones are okay. He'd do better with a fenced yard that allowed him time to sun his belly and roll in the grass.
Truman really just wants to lay around with his people. A few brief zoomies in the yard then he's the perfect couch potato.
My favorite thing about Tru is how happy he is to be loved. He wakes up smiling and can't wait to see your face. He loves hard on his people and just wants love and butt scratches in return. #petpackrescue #petpackpeoria #adoptable #truman

She is an American Staffordshire terrier that will weigh about 40 pounds at most full grown. She currently weighs about 30 pounds. Keke is housebroken and does fairly well in the crate. She likes other dogs a lot, and is very playful. She also loves to snuggle with her canine companions and her humans. Cats and children are also good with this pup! Squeak toys are her favorite, sometimes she tries to dissect them. As a dog that is treat motivated and praise motivated, she is fairly easy to train. A social butterfly, Keke would be a dog that you could take out and about as well. What a difference a few days can make! We shared Samuel as a scared pup a few days ago. He is thriving with other dogs and cats. Sam loves to play and is affectionate! He is a red lab mix that will be 45 lbs when he regains weight. He keeps the crate clean and understands the concept of outside potty! l Keke the staffie is also adoptable. She is dog and cat friendly. She likes kids. Keke it’s about seven months old and will be full. Grown in about 35 to 40 pounds.
