Velma enjoys the good things in life, we called that popcorn. She is looking for a foster to adopt or long-term foster home. She is currently staying with someone through at least the holidays. This soft and squishy girl is wonderful with humans and young children. She prefers to live in a home where she can be the only pet. The amount of affection that she has for her people more than make up for her, needing to be the only dog. She likes to be dressed up, she is affectionate, she enjoys some playtime with lots of cuddles in between, and she is housebroken. Overcoming obstacles seemed to be the year of 2024 for the rescue world. There are so many dogs that need our support and assistance. Sometimes we had to make hard calls and say no and sometimes it seems like miracles happened. We are a tiny rescue with very limited means. Many of our board members and the cofounders in particular still pull money out to pay bills when needed. Pet Pack Rescue is 100% volunteer based and run. All of our board members have full time jobs and still make time to run the rescue.
There are countless stories of dogs in our care that we could tell you about. All of them have obstacles that they have overcome or are still working on conquering. Love goes a long way to heal their wounds, but at the end of the day, we have to pay our bills to keep our doors open and support the dogs in our care to get what they need to be adoptable. We understand that there are a lot of wonderful causes that you can contribute to. Many of us donate to other causes as well. We hope on this Giving Tuesday you will consider a donation to help us keep our doors open. We need your donations to help the most vulnerable in need.
