I'm a small show breeder, handler & exhibitor of the beautiful & amazing Pomeranian breed, located in Massachusetts, USA. I show as often as possible, on many weekends of the year; always in Conformation & only at AKC dog shows. I'm also an aspiring handler of the Pomeranian breed & would someday like to be able to officially call myself a "Professional Handler". I love all dogs but have a strong
passion for Toy Breeds & consider the Toy Group to be my primary focus & preference, especially as an Exhibitor, Handler & Breeder. I've been Breeding Pomeranians on a small scale since 2003 & Showing since 2004. I have since handled almost a dozen great Pomeranians to many great stories of success! Though not every Pom I have shown has finished (earned their AKC Champion title), they have all had many wonderful Wins, experiences & times with me! I own several AKC Champions & I have had incredible journeys with each & every one of them! My greatest Pom to date, recently passed away, she was a Champion when she came here; she built a foundation at Oceanside Pomeranians & taught me more than half of what I know. Which is when you continue to Show a Dog, after he/she has obtained his/her AKC Championship title. You show in the "Best of Breed" class & compete against Winners Dog, Winners Bitch & many times other Champion Pomeranians (with Male Champions competing in this class, slightly more often than Females). Mystic had a wonderful Show Career with me as her handler & quickly Won a combination of OVER 75 Best of Breed & Best of Opposite Sex wins, Thus making her eligible for membership in the American Pomeranian Club's "GOLD CLUB". Bitches must win 50 Best Of Breeds and/or Best Of Opposite Sex to Best Of Breeds (Dogs must win 100) & then they can be entered into the Gold Club, which is a Historical Award offered by the APC. The Gold Club is not only a membership, but is also a title & an award. To qualify for this award a Pomeranian must:
• Dogs must win 100 Best Of Breeds and/or Best Of Opposite Sex to Best Of Breeds, or;
• Bitches must win 50 Best Of Breeds and/or Best Of Opposite Sex to Best Of Breeds, or;
• Win back-to-back Group 1s, or;
• Win back-to-back High In Trials, or;
acquire an Obedience Championship (OTCh), or Utility Dog Excellent (UDX), or Champion Tracker (CT), or Master Agility Champion (MACH) title, or;
acquire a combination of 3 different titles, one each from conformation, obedience, tracking or agility. Mystic (Ch. Patricia's Smokin Mystic Bee, GC) became a "GC" (Gold Club) member/award holder for winning a combination of over 50 Best of Breed & Best of Opposite to BOB wins! All together, Mystic has approximately 78 BOB & OS wins (total). She also has a few Toy Group Placements & Veteran Group Wins, as well as one Best Veteran in Show! She has a Major Pointed Son "Buddha" (Oceansides Shake Your Buddha), with a 5 Point Major over 8+ Champions & an entry over 30! Buddha only needs 1 Major to finish his AKC Championship! Jan-Shars Shakespeare "Shake" - Shakespeare or Shakefinished in just 4 weekends of showing, in literally 4 weeks! He earned Multiple Best Puppy in Toy Group while showing as a Class Dog. After quickly finishing, he was Owner Handled by Myself (Greg), across the USA! He earned MANY Best of Breed wins & several Group Placements including a Toy Group Second & a Best of Breed over 48 Pomeranians! He also won a 5 Point Major at a Pom Specialty by going Best of Breed Best of Winners over an entry of 38 & 9 Champions! That day he went on to win a Puppy Group First for Best Puppy in Show / Specialty! A very honorable Win from Shakespeare's show career was under Judge: C. Michael Benson, in Enumclaw, Washington, USA in August of 2006 at the Puget Sound Pomeranian Club, where over 100 Pomeranians, Shakespeare was 1 of only 2 Male Poms selected at the final cut, for Best of Breed (Best in Show Specialty)! He was a bit less physically mature than the winning dog as he was still a 9-12 Month Puppy, but already a Champion showing in Best of Breed. Shake ended up winning the FIRST Award of Merit that day over an entry of 100+ Pomeranians! Spring & Summer 2006 were amazing for Shake & I! We traveled the Country & he won over 35 Best of Breeds & a half Dozen Group Placements in just 5 Months, from East to West, North to South & everywhere in between USA! I look forward to many years of enjoyable times progress & success with this beloved Pomeranian breed! I enjoy everyday I am blessed to have with my dogs & I hope for many more! I hope to be back out in the ring very soon & to spend my life Showing these wonderful Dogs, to the best of my abilities! I learned more about showing & how to show, from my Poms, than I did from people & handling classes. I've been Showing Dogs since the Summer of 2004, when my first 2 Show Pomeranians won 2 Points on their first weekend out with me! The first day my Pom "Diego" (Heather's Rio Bravo) won Winners Dog & Best of Breed Best of Winners for 2 points & we were so new to the world of showing dogs, that we didn't realize there was a Group Ring we were supposed to stay for & we went home! The next day "Norman" (Extane Country Genteman) Won Winners Dog & Best of Opposite Sex for 1 Point! I haven't stopped showing since & I do not plan on it! I found my passion when I discovered Pomeranians & obtained my first true Pom "Joey". For more information regarding this beautiful breed,
