Great news came in today!!! Miss Avah's OFA results are in. The last 2 where her hips and elbows.
She is fully tested through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals giving her an OFA Canine Health Information Center Certificate (CHIC # 206400)
Hips- Excellent🎉
Elbows- Normal🎉
Thyroid-Normal🎉
Basic Cardiac- Normal🎉
Eyes-Normal🎉

Did you know? Dogs must be 24 months or older for OFA Hip and Elbow certification, and 12 months or older for Cardiac, Patellas, and Thyroid certification. There is no age minimum for eye certification, nor for DNA, since DNA does not change as the dog ages.

The OFA also does Preliminary evaluations on hips and elbows before 24 months of age. However, they will need to be re-evaluated again for a final certification once the dog reaches 24 months.

Individual breeds may have different minimum age requirements for their CHIC program, which is determined by their parent club.

We have a new Grand Champion🎉🎉 14 month old Stella (GCH Great North Woods & Alpine's Take it to the Limit) 💕went Best of Opposite in Syracuse last saturday to her older brother Zander. Thank you Amanda Shea for handling her so well, and for your patience you have with her as she is learning the show ring. Thank you to April Arsenault Slack for choosing our boy Grizz, to pair with your girl Tashi. Without that we wouldnt have this beautiful girl.

We were there too! 😁 It was a busy weekend in West Springfeild Mass. 4 shows in 2 days. Our girls Avah a Stella showed great with my husband Jack and our handlers, including a junior handler, Mackenzie. Stella took Best of Opposite for a 3 point major.

I dont post every win at every show, but the end of the year point stats proves we have been busy. It was fun starting Grizz's daughter, Stella. Im glad they had some time in the ring together befor we retired him in september. All 3 had a great year. Here are standings for Breed, All Breed, National Owner Handled Series and AKC Grand Championship. Avah(GCh Endless Mtns Heartbreaker of Alpine) is in the pink highlight. Grizz(GCHB Endless Mtns Guardian of the Gold CGC) is in the blue highlight. Stella(CH Great North Woods & Alpine's Take It to the Limit) is in the purple highlight.
