🐻 BIG BOY. BIG NEEDS. BIG POTENTIAL. 🐾

Bear is a 1 year old Anatolian / Great Pyrenees mix looking for a home with experience in his breed someone who understands guardian dogs and what they need to thrive.

Bear’s mom and dad had all the right intentions when they brought him home, but they didn’t realize that littermate syndrome is very real. Bear and his brother were raised together, and as they grew, they began feeding off each other’s energy, creating an unsafe situation. A trainer was brought in early and recommended separation.

For the past 6 months, the brothers have lived separated within the same home, rotating throughout the day. Unfortunately, this setup has caused ongoing stress and tension, and Bear is now lacking the physical and mental outlets a young guardian breed needs. This has left him feeling unsettled and unhappy in his crate not because he’s a bad dog, but because his needs aren’t being fully met.

Bear has so much potential, but he needs a human who understands his breed, can provide structure, consistency, and appropriate outlets, and is committed to continuing his training.

If you’re experienced, patient, and looking for a loyal young dog with the right foundation, Bear is waiting for you.

It’s not often I post this late at night, but this left me completely speechless and shedding happy tears. From the moment Momma Leona arrived with me to now, two months into being in her home while continuing her heartworm treatment, this transformation is absolutely breathtaking.

This is exactly why I will always be a voice for the voiceless. This sweet momma roamed for so long and had so many litters, and I knew she was safe the moment we got confirmation she was coming to us. Now seeing her with her family and her big brother truly means the world to me.

I know her family has poured so much love into her. There was a bump in the road with her heartworm treatment, which I know gave them a scare, as it would anyone, but continuing to do what’s best for her and giving her everything she needs is everything she always deserved. Thank you for loving this mommy the way you do. I knew it would be hard letting her go, but reminders like this are exactly why I don’t keep them all, even though I definitely want to sometimes 🥹🤍🐾

Look who made her way to us yesterday 💕 Saydey

Saydey’s mom has been going through an incredibly difficult time. Navigating a domestic violence situation is never easy, and it becomes even harder when so many shelters are unable to accommodate pets.

Yesterday, we welcomed Saydey into our care and got her vetted, and today she gets to head out for a meet & greet. 🐾

Saydey also holds a very special place in our hearts. This beautiful girl is deaf, and that just makes her even more incredible. 💗

Please keep this sweet girl in your thoughts and wish her the best of luck today. She deserves nothing but good things ahead. 🤞✨

Today is the last day of the year, and what a year it has been. 🐾❤️

2025 has been a great year. We have grown, we have learned so much, and we have met some truly amazing families. We have also expanded our family through the incredible people we have met along the way.

This year, we were blessed to become close with another wonderful family and their amazing children, who hold a very special place in our hearts. Cynthia Scott has gone far beyond what anyone could ever expect, always thinking of ways to help our rescue grow and generously hosting events to support our mission.

We also had the chance to finally meet the two incredible people behind the scenes at The Gathering Place Animal Rescue, Sanctuary and Ministry, where the majority of our puppies come from, and our transporter Ann Marie Shugart / Annies Promise has truly become family. These connections mean more to us than words can express.

In 2025, we successfully helped 204 dogs. For a home and family based rescue, that is huge. This work doesn’t stop. It happens every single day. From daily care to vet appointments, working through behaviors such as resource guarding, crate training, decompression, and everything in between, it is truly a labor of love and a mission I take to heart.

We also went through one bad bite from a behavioral case, but my hand is still intact… lol. Rescue is not always easy, but it is always worth it.

I want to start by thanking my husband Jeremy Neurath, who supports me and my dream endlessly and is absolutely the muscle behind the scenes. I could not do this without you.
To our amazing daughter, thank you for always jumping in to help and for playing with and loving the rescues in our care. You are a huge part of this journey.

A very special thank you goes to Donielle Savage. You did not just adopt. You stepped right in beside me and joined me on this wild rescue adventure. You have truly made this year fun, and I am beyond grateful for you and all of your help, along with Woody and Alex.

Another big thank you to Mandalynn Surrell, who keeps me organized, puts up with my random moments of wanting to change the layout of our website, and always makes sure it has everything we need. I truly do not know what I would do without you.

A special shout-out to the amazing doctors and staff at Eastford Veterinary Clinic for taking such incredible care of our rescues. Every single one of you has played a significant role in the lives and journeys of our dogs, and we are endlessly grateful for your dedication and compassion.

Thank you to my family, my parents Sandra Mendes King and my sister Samantha King, who believe in me, in this rescue, and in the mission, and who support me through it all. Your belief and encouragement mean more than you know.

And finally, thank you to all of our followers, donors, supporters, volunteers, and adopters. You are the reason we can keep going and continue saving lives.

2026 is going to be a big year, and we cannot wait to share what is ahead with all of you.
✨ Keep an eye on our page tomorrow. We have something VERY exciting to share, and you will not want to miss it. ✨

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of the Doggoholic family. 🐶✨

Remember Jake? His owner recently passed away, and you could see the sadness in his eyes. Today, this sweet boy is smiling from ear to ear knowing he’s going home.

His next chapter begins now, and while he’s still grieving the human he loved so deeply, he no longer has to do it alone. He can lean into his new dad, Mark.

Congratulations to Mark and Jake. 🐾❤️

Look who officially made it to us! 🐾

That’s right Rusty, or as Ann lovingly called her, Lil’ Bit, is finally here. ❤️

Huge thank you to Ann Marie Shugart / Annies Promise who made sure Rusty received phenomenal care while she waited to make her way to us. She was loved, safe, and truly cared for every step of the way.

Today she enjoyed a much-needed medicated bath and some very well earned cuddle time. This sweet little girl is pure love. Gentle, affectionate, and overflowing with so much heart, Rusty has so much love left to give.

To whoever failed her before: she’s safe now, cherished now, and surrounded by people who will never let her down again. Karma always finds its way.

Now it’s time for us to log off and take a much needed break. It’s been a very busy few days around here 🥰

Welcome home, sweet Rusty. 🐶🫶🏼

🚨 URGENT SAFE PLACEMENT NEEDED – WORCESTER, MA 🚨

Meet Saydey 💕
📍 Worcester, MA (01605)

Saydey is a 4.5-year-old white American Pit Bull Terrier who urgently needs a safe foster or forever home due to circumstances completely outside of her control.

Her owner is currently escaping a domestic violence situation and is living in a shelter that does not allow dogs. The priority right now is Saydey’s safety and well-being.

✨ About Saydey ✨
• Female, ~4 years old
• Potty trained
• Crate trained
• Friendly with people (familiar & strangers)
• Friendly with dogs
• Cat friendly
• Knows basic commands (sit)
• No bite history
• No known medical issues
• Deaf – but don’t let that fool you 💗

💖 Personality:
Saydey is a total love bug. She adores snuggling, playing, and being close to her people. She was previously abused before being rescued by her current owner, and despite that, she has the biggest heart. She bonds deeply and just wants to feel safe and loved.

🩺 Medical Transparency (Important):
• Saydey is NOT spayed
• Vaccination status is unknown / not up to date

👉 We are committed to helping with this.
If you are approved, please ask us how we can help get Saydey spayed and fully vaccinated. We will walk you through available options and support.

🦴 Special Note:
Because Saydey is deaf, she thrives with consistency, hand signals, and patience. Deaf dogs often form incredibly strong bonds and are very attentive to their people.

⚠️ Time is critical.
We are looking for a foster, foster-to-adopt, or adopter ASAP to ensure Saydey does not end up in an unsafe situation or shelter environment.

👉 PLEASE APPLY THROUGH OUR OFFICIAL APPLICATION LINK:

If you can’t adopt, please share. One share can truly save her life.

Let’s come together for Saydey. She deserves peace, safety, and a home where she can finally exhale. 🐾💔➡️💞

Both Jake and Harper, who have been grieving the loss and changes they’ve endured, now have meet & greets scheduled. 🤍

These dogs have carried so much on their hearts, and seeing interest in them means more than words can say. They have been patient, gentle, and resilient through it all, and they absolutely deserve this chance at love and stability.

Please keep Jake and Harper in your thoughts as they take this next step. No matter the outcome, we are so proud of them for continuing to show up with open hearts.

Izzy finally found her family. 🩷
After more than a year of searching for the perfect match, this family knew in their hearts she was the one. They waited patiently, trusted the process, and today it all came together.

There were happy tears all around as the kids welcomed Izzy home and their family became a two-dog household again after the heartbreaking loss of their beloved dog over a year ago.

Congratulations to this beautiful family and to Izzy—your forever starts now. 🐾✨

Bori is officially in surgery. 🤍

This sweet old man has two masses located under his re**um that have been causing him significant pain and discomfort. At eleven years old, the very last thing we want for Bori is to suffer. He deserves comfort, dignity, and relief in his golden years.

Bori is already feeling lost and confused after losing his owner, and now he’s facing this medical hurdle on his own. Our hearts are with him as he undergoes surgery today, and we are hopeful this will bring him the relief he so desperately needs.

If you’re able to help, donations toward Bori’s medical care would mean the world. Every contribution—big or small—goes directly toward his surgery, aftercare, and continued comfort as he heals.

To everyone who has already Venmoed toward Bori’s care—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness is making this possible and reminding Bori that he is deeply loved. 🐾🤍

This season is hitting us hard 💔

This afternoon we received a phone call from a local resident who has truly gone above and beyond.

An older gentleman passed away last week, leaving behind six dogs.

He always made sure his dogs ate before he did.
He made sure they ate better than he did.
They were his family.

Before he passed, his previous caretaker of nine years made him a promise — that his dogs would be cared for once he was no longer here. We want to help honor that promise.

These dogs are now in urgent need of medical care.

• One dog appears to have a prolapse and needs immediate veterinary attention
• Two small males need to be neutered and brought up to date on vaccinations
• Two small females need to be spayed and brought up to date on vaccinations
• The hound needs to be spayed and brought up to date on vaccinations
• All dogs are in need of grooming, and the smaller dogs are matted

In addition, there are three cats we are aware of who also need to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated.

Photos of the six dogs are below.
Photos of the cats are below as well.

We cannot imagine the confusion and loss they are feeling — losing the only person they’ve ever known. While we can’t bring him back, we can make sure his animals are cared for, safe, and given the medical attention they desperately need.

If you would like to donate toward their care, every dollar makes a difference:
