Just a dog. 🥰

From time to time people tell me “chill out, it’s just a dog” or “it’s a lot of money just for a dog.” They don't understand the distance traveled, the time invested or the costs incurred by "just a dog". Some of my proudest moments have occurred with “just a dog.”
Many hours have passed being my only company "just a dog", but not for one moment did I feel despised. Some of my saddest moments have been because of “just a dog,” and on those gray days, the gentle touch of “just a Dog” gave me comfort and the reason to get through the day.

If you also think “it’s just a dog”, then you’ll probably understand phrases like “just a friend”, “just a sunrise” or “just a promise.” “Just a dog” brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust and pure unbridled joy. “Just a dog” brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person.

For "just a dog" I will get up early, take long walks and look forward to the future. So for me and people like me, it’s not “just a dog,” but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the memories of the past, and the absolute joy of the moment. “Just a dog” brings out the good in me and takes my thoughts away from myself and daily worries.

I hope one day they can understand that it’s not “just a dog”, but the one that gives me humanity and keeps me from being “just a human.” So the next time you hear the phrase “just a dog”, just smile because they “just don’t get it”.

Hope everyone had a Happy 4th! 🇺🇸

I have a few appointment slots left open this month before i go out on maternity leave. Please call/text or send me a message to inquire about getting on the schedule. Humanity over Vanity!




It takes time and a lot of patience to be a groomer as we are working with a moving canvas. Every dog must be groomed using every safety precaution all while making sure they are comfortable during the process. Each dog that has an appointment with me will be handled with the love and care they deserve as I choose to follow the above saying "Humanity over Vanity!" With that being said, I want to thank all my clients thus far for being so respectful of my policies. My goal is to always give your dog 110% of my attention to ensure they stay safe + comfortable while they are here.

Hi everyone! Just a friendly update on my business policies//

• An up to date rabies vaccination is required to book an appointment. I can not groom your dog without it.

•I book by appointment only and my days schedule is booked accordingly to specific time frames. Please be curteous about arriving + picking up on time. If you are late or don’t show to your booked appointment, I do have fees that apply. This disrupts the rest of the day. Things happen, but I have to cover myself.

•Extreme matting cases that require longer appointment times then anticipated will be an extra charge. Re-moving mats is very time consuming and is not safe to be rushed.

•Due to me scheduling one on one appointment slots in order to allow for a more calming grooming experience, I can not keep your dogs for an extended period of time. All dogs must be picked up immediately after grooming. I do not crate any dogs in the salon.

•Please have your dog potty outside in the grass strip directly across from my entrance before their appointment. The other businesses near by are off limits. Accidents are expected in the salon but the less the better.

I am really striving to offer a smooth grooming process for each and every dog as well as the owners and with these policies in place it allows me to do just that! I appreciate all of you SO much! Thank you!

How often should your Dog be groomed?

For dogs with long hair/dense/curly coats such as Doodles, Poodles, etc. every 6 weeks is a good time frame to keep them routinely groomed. This will allow your groomer to maintain the coat without hopefully having to remove mats. The more frequently brushed at home helps this tremendously as well. Line Brushing every other day is key. The more frequent you can brush in between grooms the better.

Dogs with short hair coats, can be maintained about every 8-10 weeks.

Hi fb friends,

I just wanted to share this info on *matting* after having 2 severe cases over the last week. I’ve added 2 articles with what I found to be helpful information. Please educate yourselves on the importance of routinely brushing (line brushing that is) as well as scheduling routine haircuts. Without these 2 things being done on a regular basis, your dogs coat will mat, with an end result of having to be shaved. Mats majority of the time can not be combed out, and the only way to successfully remove them is by shaving it. No steps in the grooming process can be done with mats left in the coat including bathing. If it is severe enough, I will not be able to perform the groom and they will need to be seen by your trusted veterinarian. I try my absolute best to be gentle with each & every dog I groom and severe matting makes for a very long and uncomfortable process. Im happy to recommend products/tools for at home maintenance in between grooms and soon I will be carrying those products and brushes in the salon. Feel free to ask any questions you may have! I always will put the safety and comfort of your pet first 🫶

Hi everyone! First + foremost I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has made an appointment and brought their dog into the salon! It has been an amazing first few months!

Just a friendly reminder that my business ”hours” are from 8-5. It is my plan to be adding on some evenings hours one night a week in order to accommodate those who can’t make a day time appointment but as far as getting back to appointment requests, texts, Facebook messages and calls, I will not be responding before 8am or after 5pm. This is my family time and once my daughter is here with us in a few short months this time will be even more important to me! I appreciate your understanding and am happy to get back to you within my daytime hours. Thank you all 🖤
