Humane Society of Preble County Our animal shelter has a 40+ year history in Eaton! Hours: 11 am to 5:00 pm - Monday through Thursday
11 am to 4 pm - Friday and Saturday.

We are closed on Sundays and all major Holidays.

UP FOR ADOPTION: Pippin is a 9 month old female Aussie / smooth coat Collie that is smart as a whip and busy-minded. Pippin learns quickly and has already mastered "sit" and is working on "down". She is treat motivated so she stays very focused while you are teaching her something new. She is an active girl and will need an active family that can keep her busy and engaged. Pippin weighs 40 lbs and will need a fenced yard.

UPDATE 12/20/25 @ 3:15 PM: Vex has been ADOPTED!

**ADOPTED**: Vex is the cutest, sweetest, happiest guy around! We are so thrilled to have this handsome boy with the face of a Shar Pei and the attitude of a Golden Retriever. This is a unique mix and it certainly works. Vex is 1 1/2 years old, knows sit, shakes with both paws, and loves to play. He has been good with other dogs, ignores the cats, and loves people. He weighs 50 lbs. and will be a great family member!
