The Eau Claire County Humane Association is dedicated to educating the public about the need for humane treatment of all animals and responsible pet ownership. We must rely on donations from our friends and supporters who share our beli

We are open TODAY (Saturday) 1-4 PM! Please meet staff favorite, Gimli!

Gimli is really getting in to the Holiday spirit! He loves the snow, and took a holiday photoshoot with some of our staff members. He is so handsome!

He is takes treats so gently, LOVES belly rubs, and is a perfect gentleman. Unfortunately, Gimli had a tough go of it before coming to ECCHA, which made him not like other animals and be very hesitant around men. Gimli has been adopted and returned twice because of this, but he truly is the sweetest boy you could ever meet! Caretakers and former fosters have described him as "the perfect dog" and that "he's perfect for families with kids."

Gimli is sponsored which means he has no adoption fee! We hope someone gives our favorite boy a chance for Christmas. We promise, you will not be disappointed!

It's Foster Friday! Please say hello to little Boo! 👻

Boo has been in ECCHA care for almost 4 months, coming in with her siblings Mike and Sully. Boo is a total sweetheart and finds comfort in her humans, after she is done playing of course! Foster mom says you can often find her shoulder deep in a bag of chips (same), or asking for your food while you eat. She is sure to keep you entertained with her silly antics!

Boo must go home with another cat from ECCHA or you must have a resident cat at home. She loves to play with other cats, and having another cat in the home helps with her socialization and confidence building as she is still a young catten.

Stop in today (Friday) 1-4 PM and meet sweet Boo!

Along with our annual Santa Paws Sale, our caretakers have also added a toy and food drive at participating locations! While you’re doing holiday shopping, make sure to pick up a Christmas Wish for a homeless animal.

Our pets want nothing more than a home for the howl-idays. While they wait for their purr-fect family, our caretakers want to shower them with Christmas goodies!

We were lucky enough to be invited to Raising Cane's grand opening celebration here in Eau Claire! Part of Raising Canes values is raising awareness for animal welfare - Raising Cane is the name of the founder's dog and is often used in marketing (check out the ice sculpture!) 🐾

Raising Cane's came to us and said they wanted to sponsor the adoption fees of animals in the shelter as part of their grand opening - 7 in total! Several of whom already have apps or have gone home.

Raising Cane's is also donating the proceeds of this years' plush pup to ECCHA! You can pick up a plush at their store. 🎁

Virgil is the first dog through the door! We are excited too, buddy!

Reagan was a very scared kitten when he came to ECCHA around 3 or 4 months old. But with patience from his foster family he came around, and now hangs out all over the house with the other three cats! He is full of kitten energy and loves to play and chase the other cats around, and when it's nap time he snuggles up with them or foster mom! He is so adorable and his white fur is silky and soft. He would do fine in a house with other cats, especially with one who would like a playmate. Anyone would be lucky to call this spunky little kitten their own! Reagan's adoption fee is $150 and he is already neutered. Learn more about Reagan and apply on our website: eccha.org/adopt
