Pre swim time, daycare crew enjoying this beautiful August weather
Another beautiful day for daycare
The are loving this cool weather!
For the swimmers, the best part of daycare
If you haven't been swimming yet at LaPrairie Canine's pool, you are missing out. These hot days are a perfect time to bring your dogs and family out for a swim to cool off and spend time with everyone. Time also to train with your dog. Book your time on line. https://www.lapcanine.com/scheduling
Cane and Cali swimming! Cane is already seeing results in his back from swimming the year. His back/hips need adjustments quite often and swimming really helps keeping them aligned. Plus it is fun. Go on line to schedule your pool time.
This older GSD had knee surgery last year and has recovered quite well I’d say👌🏻
Knowing the pool has helped that is just wonderful 🥰
Listen to how peaceful it can be 😂
Well there goes the peace around here 😂…pool is open!
Please read the rules, they are simple and purposeful.
Pushing a dog into failure resulting in frustration barking is not helping them or fun, especially for the majority of an hour.
They are saying “I can’t do it!”
As a professional, I see the precursor behaviors of this vocalizing and change course making the task easier for the dog. I NEVER let the dog get to a failure point that results in undesirable behaviors, that would be a handler (human) error.
On the website it clearly states no uncontrollable barking here, it’s for good reasons.
Barking doesn’t make your dog jump further.
The best way to control vocalizing is to teach a “Speak” and “Quiet” command which allows us to properly communicate when it’s acceptable to vocalize.
I better stop, my anxious dogs need comforting 🙄
Today was Majors’ first full day at daycare What a great personality, gets along with everyone 👍🏻
Big day for Illy, first time ever swimming! Being a Lab it wasn’t tough convincing her!
What a beautiful day for daycare! These dogs got the life.
