9 of our dogs were on the way to Rhode Island last night when the transport truck was hit by a drunk driver. While on transport themselves Project Freedom Ride has graciously made arrangements to detour to help all the dogs on the truck! They will need fuel and other supplies. 💥🆘💥 HELP NEEDED 💥🆘💥

We have a dear friend & transporter who is stuck with a full load of dogs. Their was van the recipient of a hit and run by a drunk driver. We are finishing our transport today (by about 11am) and then heading to help them, north of Baltimore. We need to get 28 dogs and 3 cats to Long Island & Rhode Island. This will add about 2 days for our drivers.

However, we need blankets or towels as we don’t have enough on board for this new load.

We will be dropping at the PetSmart in Vienna VA (8204 Leesburg Pike) about 1140am (I’ll update this post as things change with a more accurate eta) … WE NEED CLEAN BLANKETS & TOWELS‼️

One evening I got called back into work for a dog that was either beaten or HBC. On the intake exam there were no signs of HBC, however, there were signs that he had been beaten and hit in the head multiple times. Sammie could not walk and barely could stand that day.
Today he is the life of the animal facility. Kids immediately go to his kennel door and he is ecstatic to see each and every person that walks in.
This life is no life for him, locked away as if he did something wrong. Before long it will change him! Sammie has held on for long enough. It's time for his freedom ride it's time for him to go on with his journey. ITS TIME FOR HIM TO BE ADOPTED!
Please help Sammie by sharing his story in hopes of finding his ride out of a small rural animal control facility and into a rescue or permanent home!

Scout unfortunately had to lose her eye due to an injury, but she gained a family. ❤️ Congratulations to Scout and her new family!!

Thank you so much to those who donate to our shelter!! Because of monetary donations that are set aside for injured dogs, Scout was able to receive treatment with antibiotics & pain medication as soon as she arrived at the Edgefield County Animal Care & Control Facility. Once it was confirmed that her eye needed to be removed, we were able to proceed because of monetary donations that we have received. Thank you all so much for donating!!

*UPDATED SYNDEY HAS BEEN ADOPTED* Sydney is having a hard time she’s very depressed and doesn’t want to get up from her bed anymore. Sydney always gets passed up 💔 and we can’t figure out why she’s great with kids and gets along with other dogs. Sydney has never had an application even though she’s perfect. The shelter staff would love nothing more than to see her go home 🏠 to her own family.
