Due to the high volume of cancellations and owners simply just not answering, we’ve made the unfortunate decision to no longer service the upper valley. This decision was not made lightly but its become a reoccurring issue that we can’t continue to manage.
Moving forward, all in home services will only be available from San Juan to Brownsville. We plan to offer this trip once a month to cater to as many families as possible.

Our next planned trip will be September 28th.
I will be working on responding to all messages this week. Please be patient with me and I get back to each and every one of you.

Even our tiniest of friends need nail trims too!
Ginny the Guinea Pig was such a good girl for her nail trim yesterday.
Smaller exotics such as Guinea pigs, rabbits, and ferrets require frequent nail trims since their nails never stop growing! Overgrown nails may begin curling and poke into their little paw pads causing unnecessary pain.
If you have a small furry friend in need of an in home nail trim let us know!

If I scheduled a date for community outreach in low income neighborhoods offering free microchips would anyone be willing to help volunteer? Ultimately I would need a few groups of people to split up to different streets. Each group would for sure need 1 chipper and 1 restrainer. I do need at least 1 person per group that can speak Spanish as most of the owners in these areas don’t speak English.
My mind works too fast and won’t stop until I make it happen so let’s get it done! Let’s keep pets with their owners and out of the shelter

Did you know that regular nail trims are an important part of maintaining your pets care?
Overgrown nails can affect your pets mobility, cause pain, and even curl back into your pets paw pad causing an infection.
Your pets nails should be trimmed on average every 3-4 weeks to maintain a healthy length.

We had an amazing day servicing over 25 pets in the lower valley with microchips and nail trims yesterday!
We were on the road for 13 hours to provide these much needed services to our community.
We do have plenty of available for Pharr and Hidalgo on the 5th along with other dates for different cities. If you are needing your pet microchipped or nails trimmed please send us a message for an appointment!

It’s time for a jellybean update!
This girl is doing beyond amazing. She’s got a nice plump tummy and has an appetite but just isn’t eating enough on her own so she’s still being fed through her tube. She’s gaining weight slowly but surely. She has so much more strength and is hopping around everywhere. She’s truly the cutest and I can’t wait to continue watching her grow

I haven’t posted about JellyBean because truthfully, I didn’t think she’d make it this far.
Jellybean is 6 weeks old and weighing in at 0.3lbs. Jellybeans siblings were born by C-Section with severe abnormalities. Her 2 siblings had cleft palates, hydrocephalus, severe PE, twisted arms and legs, etc. Pure genetic messes. I agreed to take these 3 on with the plan of transferring all 3 to a cleft palate rescue. However, the 2 clefties passed away just days after receiving them so I agreed to keep the non cleftie to not overwhelm the rescue with what we originally thought was a “normal” and “healthy” kitten.
It soon became obvious that while jellybean didn’t have obvious abnormalities on the outside, she had many internal abnormalities.
Jellybean won’t eat. I’ve tube fed her since she was just a day old and can not get her to eat on her own. There’s some feedings where she chooses to eat and others she won’t. She has such an odd structure that’s making tube feeding impossible for me.
She saw Dr.Fuentes today and we’re leaning towards the likelihood of her having liver shunt. Xrays were taken but with her being so teeny tiny it didn’t show much. Dr.Fuentes agreed to place an NG tube in hopes to start getting some food in this girl. She’ll go back to the vet tomorrow for an NG tube placement and hopefully we’ll start seeing some improvement soon.
We could really use some help covering her vet bills because ultimately, permanently taking in a medical needs kitten was not what we had originally planned for but we will ensure she gets all the right care and the best shot at life.
Her vet bill for today came out to $270.75 and we’re not even sure what tomorrow’s bill will look like.

We had a great day in the McAllen/Mission area servicing a total of 30 pets and 15 owners!
A huge thank you to all the owners that helped make our day run smoothly. We met so many adorable cats and dogs and can’t wait to meet many more furry friends this coming Monday during our lower valley date!

Lower valley is completely booked. We will be releasing new dates for McAllen/mission and lower valley soon.

Itchy is looking for a forever home! Itchy is an 11 month old Persian mix. She’s a tiny pudgy little girl with the cutest little face and teeny tiny body. She’s fully grown and isn’t expected to grow any bigger.
She just got to the store with her sibling a few days ago so is a bit shy as they both try to decompress. She’s typically a super sweet girl that loves cuddles.
She’s already spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, on preventives, and triple snap tested.

Thank you 7 Brew Coffee for making Batman’s day extra special!
Batman is our longest resident at the adoption center and it’s taking a toll on his mental health. Being caged waiting for adoption can have a negative affect on a cat’s mental health and while we do our absolute best to prevent that from happening by providing mental stimulation for all our cats, depression and anxiety can still happen. Yesterday we noticed Batman a lot more quiet than usual and he was even hiding. If you’ve met Batam you’ll know that’s not how he acts at all.
After an outing around town today to give him a break from the store he’s back to feeling himself and we’re hoping that with the new people he met today, he’ll find a forever home!

❗️❗️LOST DOG❗️❗️

Winston my French Bulldog managed to get out early this morning. He got lost on Owassa between Sugar and 281. He is wearing his green collar as seen in the first picture but it’s possible it slipped off. 
Winston has a cleft palate and a spinal disease that causes him to go paralyzed. Given his breed, he won’t survive in this heat.
A man at dollar general says they saw him but couldn’t say which way he went. I’ve driven as well as walked all around the area and can’t find him. I believe someone picked him up.
All local vet clinics have been notified incase he comes in for emergency care.
He is neutered and microchipped. I’ve reported him lost with the microchip company.
If he is injured please take him in to any vet clinic and his vet bills will be paid for or reimbursed. His microchip has all his vet clinic information, insurance information, and addresses where he can be dropped off no questions asked.

Can we get Mr.Chaos a home? Do you love drama? Well it’s a good thing Batman does too! He’ll listen in on your drama and be sure to give his opinion.
Between running up to customers and hiding in the shelves, he lives a busy life at the store trying to find the perfect home.
Batman is a 4-5 month old neutered male kitten that may make your other cats seem extra lazy. He strives for chaos in his energetic life. He is extremely active and you may even confuse him for a parrot with the way he jumps on shoulders to get a better view of the aisles.
Batman is already neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, on preventives, and triple snap tested.
