Larry, Curly, and Moe came here in May. Panda and Nibbles have been with us since I believe March but had to wait on pregnancy watch and weaning their babies so they’ve been available since May as well. Petal and Violet had the same situation and have been waiting since June. It just makes me so sad that no one wants to adopt piggies :/.

This boy is so sweet, loves food time, has already shed once with us with no issues, and is so ready to find his forever home with a big tank and lots of love! I was hoping his age would make people want to fall in love with him but I think it’s done the opposite. :(. Did you know that leopard geckos can live to 20 years old? Bunnies and kids, the perfect combination right? I’m posting this video, cause yeah it’s cute, but it’s also NOT how it usually is. Theo and Gregory have grown up together and my son has been around animals and taught the rules since he was born. The majority of the time, we do not recommend bunnies for children under 12. They need to be handled by any children under that (and even some kids older then 12) with 100% adult supervision. Gregory knows he is only allowed to hold a bunny when I am right there with him, know the personality of the bunny, and he isn’t allowed to pick them up from the ground. He never picks up Theo cause he’s too huge. Larger rabbits are more hardy and laid back and we will NEVER adopt small rabbits like Netherland Dwarves to homes with children regularly handling them. Bunnies can very easily break bones, even by the slightest fall or hard squeeze.
I’m including a link in the comments to info on whether your household is right for bunnies when you have kids. Keep in mind that you, as the parent, will ALWAYS, end up being the primary caretaker and your child should never be given that role without constant monitoring to make sure the bunny is being properly cared for.

Who remembers our head tilt pair of buns we took in this year? Biggie and Lulu moved in together a few months ago and she was spayed last month (we waited till she was a bit more stable), but they’re doing amazing. Her flips are rare and they are so in love and so happy ❤️.
So for everyone who said we should euthanize them (yes there were many), this is why we continue to try for as long as they’re happy!

Does anyone remember Apple the kitty? She was adopted from us 8 years ago! She was found in New York City hence her name, and needed an eye removal with us. She’s doing amazing, living her best life with one of our fosters and is clearly so happy ❤️

Gilbert got adopted two weeks ago and look at the wonderful update we got today! “Hello, I hope it's okay to send an update on how Gilbert (who i've now renamed Bobby after Bobby Hill) is doing! He and my girl have been bonded for a little more than a week, they are the perfect pair and he even helped litter train her which I'm so grateful for. It's hard to get their cutest moments but I will include some pics of them cuddling and eating hay together (their favorite past times). Thank you again for all you do!”

So since I had all kinds of people piling on the post to tell me how wrong and horrible I am, lemme post a follow up. Someone even said I shouldn’t be doing rescue. Lol. I have been doing this since 2005. The thousands of animals we have rescued (I’ll put a picture of how many individual petfinder entries we listed, though it will be less than the total since some animals we listed together are on one file) wouldn’t have been rescued and the hopefully thousands more in the future wouldn’t be so that person can just go do something I won’t say online…
Anyway, moving on. Do these rats look aggressive to you? All of them happily came to the front of the carrier. Only one was a little nervous when I picked her up for a pic. In fact, they seem happy and relieved to be here. I know rat behavior. I have had rats since we started. These are not aggressive rats. 4/5 are legitimately babies for gods sake. If they were actually biters they’d be staying here. Ask one of my girls who was returned for biting about a year ago and had to stay here for her own safety as she IS aggressive and I’ve just learned we no touchie.

Too many places are all “customers are always right, happy go lucky.” Sorry I’m not like that. I have spent my whole life battling ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
