Heartbroken, waited a few days to post. Fancy was due with babies, went into labor on Tuesday night. I had to help her have the first puppy, it ended up passing. Second pup ended up being a c section. That one didn’t make it either. Second pup was huge. This is a part of breeding that is so hard. You just never know. If she would have been pregnant with more babies than just the 2, she most likely would have had no problem having them. They would have been smaller.
Just look how big this second baby was😢 HUGE it weighed 8 ounces. Babies usually weigh between 4 and 6 1/2 oz that 1 1/2 oz makes a huge difference.
Fancy is fine, eating, drinking and recovering well. Next litter due @ Jan 13 or so.
