Adena, owner of Generation Pets is a Certified Canine Behavior Counselor and Trainer specializing in the psychological elements of dog behavior. She obtained her certification from The Animal Behavior Center in NY which has unfortunately closed down now. She is skilled at training both humans and canines to achieve a harmonious relationship that will last a lifetime. She changed the name to Dog B
ehavior Counseling because her focal point has always been a dog's behavior traits. Family dynamic is also different in each case and she has to learn each individual family member to better educate them and be honest in what they can handle and what they cannot. Private and group classes are available for Puppy Kindergarten/Basic and Advanced Obedience Training. She also trains for the dog sport Rally-O which is considered a more advanced training course for you and your canine. Learning to work well as a team! Adena is committed to ensuring canines maintain their homes by thoroughly educating owners and following through to gauge results. Adena is also qualified and experienced with difficult problem behaviors such as aggression (territorial, dominance, food/object, inter-dog) and separation anxiety. As a community service, she also offers assistance with Temperament Testing and Behavior Modification services for shelters and rescues. Dog Behavior Counseling takes pride In fostering and strengthening the bond between humans and canines through education and positive Interaction. Through training classes, consultations, and seminars, she provides her clients with an In-depth understanding of how dogs think and learn, as well as why they exhibit certain behaviors that might be considered "unwanted". Adena works with dogs from all different backgrounds and situations. From stable homes to those surrendered to shelters or those In foster care waiting patiently for permanent homes. Our goal Is to ensure that these canines maintain their new homes regardless of what challenges may arise. Adena is also in the process of offering a therapy dog program so your dog can go everywhere with you! Therapy dogs help humans that have mental or physical problems assist in living their lives to the fullest potential.
