We do not have any baby rats for homes right now, but we do have a lot of retired females that would be happy to go home with loving adopters. Retirees are always 20 dollars and a year or more old. Reach out if you are interested in a retiree.

*Please note these are some of our past retirees. I will be posting actual available girls to the website this week. It usually takes a lot longer to get interest in any of our retired rats, so the large number of messages I got right away was very surprising! Thank you to everyone who is willing to provide loving homes to our retirees. My rattery is a no-kill rattery and space would get very limited quickly if we kept all our retirees in house. Adopters who are willing to give them homes help us to keep providing quality babies to everyone, as well as enriching the lives of our middle-aged and senior rats.

Something has started here…

My daughter found the little duck at school, then I got the mini Jesus at home group. Today, my eldest added an axolotl from her Sunday school class. The girls are all excited because all three came from somewhere related to church/God. They are calling them our “holy trio” and “church friends”.
It was completely random to find all these tiny things, but now they are permanent residents on the dashboard.
I wonder who we will find next?

The summer lull is coming to an end soon. I have two litters that are looking to be arriving in another week or so (hopefully they hold out until I'm back from my trip out of town!) It's been a while since any new litters popped up here because most of my adopters have been on varying vacations or trips, so they couldn't take home rats. Now that summer is half over, we will start to see more litters and should be back on a full schedule by September or October.

It is a good time to get on my wait list if you plan to adopt in September or even October and after. The wait list can get very long in the fall and take a while to get a spot for adopting. If you are already approved prior to the rush, then you will be at the top of the list when a litter you like is ready for scheduling!

(Disclaimer: Video is not recent, but is of one of our past moms when she was 1 day away from delivery. The babies get squirmy enough to see on the outside!)

We have 13 boy rats still looking for homes, but our girl rat scheduling is on hold until next week. It looks like they all might have somewhere to go if everyone currently interested confirms. I’m still taking applications for all future litters.

Summer is in full force over here in San Diego. If you do not have an a/c for your rats to help them stay cool on the hotter days, or even if you do and you want to be extra safe, I highly recommend getting something like the Wyze Home Sensor Monitoring System. It can come with a lot of different types of sensors and even cameras to watch your little rats while you are away from home. The one big one is the temperature sensor, though. You can install it near your cage (not too near so they can't reach it) and know if it is getting too hot for the rats. I don't recommend anything over 85F for rats, but even 80F is pretty hot and they will dehydrate significantly under those conditions. The sensors can also track humidity, so you can see if it is too humid for your rats or not.

Future Quest Conference starts today! I'm getting all ready to go and thought I'd share one of my favorite things to watch - human bowling! 🤣

It's not too late to get your 7th-12th grader signed up. They do registration at the door from 12-1p.m. Arrive early to get a good seat once you are done with registration. I'll be there at the tables helping out, so you can also come by and say "hi!"
All 7th-12th graders are welcome, but check out the information on their page to make sure you have everything you need. It is an ALL-DAY conference and there are some rules the kids have to follow to stay safe and allow everyone to have fun!

One of Abby’s best friends flew in from New York for her birthday.
This guy is so awesome!

I was a bit nervous years ago when my daughter had primarily guy friends. But, the love her guys have shown her (all the backing, encouragement, and support) have been a huge blessing in her life and ours. I never had any sons, but my kids have brothers. ❤️
