Devastated doesn't quite cover it. I mean she was just here on Monday in play care. You see here at Dog Gone Smart we do a p**s poor job of keeping our hearts out of it. In fact, we fall in love with all of them. Each and every passing weighs on us and breaks our hearts, but when it's sudden and the dog is young it's a gut punch and makes us pause and wonder why.
Stella was only 5 ½ and was diagnosed a couple months ago with a rare and incurable cancer. She however was responding well to canine chemo, and seemed as though she'd be around for a while longer. She carried on as her typical feisty self in Monday play care until she started to decline this past week.
Unfortunately while being seen today in hopes of further treatment to get more time she had an irreversible neurological event and passed.
Stella, squishy face we love you so much and will miss you even more. I will especially miss my shotgun girl on Mondays. 😭😭😭
