Welcome to Lady Grace Rescue, Inc., a 501(c)(3) Texas Nonprofit Animal Welfare & Rescue organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming small breed dogs in Beaumont, Texas. We specialize in Coton de Tulears, Maltese, Yorkies, and other small breeds in need. Request an adoption application, fill it out, and prepare for a phone interview. All of the pups listed on our page are available for

adoption, with minimum fees starting at $500 and varying based on vet expenses. To ensure that our pups find the best homes possible, we conduct reference checks and require signed adoption contracts. We ask that you ONLY apply if you're fully prepared to provide a loving and supportive home, both physically and financially. We rely on the support of volunteers and your tax-deductible donations to carry out our mission, and we are grateful for any assistance you can offer. Every night after I put all of the other pups to bed and before I mop the floors, I let momma and babies play. They get the entire room all to themselves. Champagne loves this time with them, no matter how annoying and rough they can be. 😁🐾💕🐶

This handsome fella was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease but he has done so well, with his diet and environment changes, that his lab work doesn’t even alert with any abnormal levels. He is so sweet and needs his own person. He gets along with other dogs and prefers to stay home and human sit. That’s his job and he’s really good at it 😁

Oh My Goodness, this is an expensive week… in addition to the usual food expenses, already over $300 and it’s only Thursday, there are a lot of vet expenses… 5 puppies on Monday, over $400 and today there’s 4 appointments, a neuter/exam/vacs, two new exams with vacs and 1 skin issue. I do get some donations and adoption fees help but the money goes quickly. Please consider donating. 😔💕🐾🐶 I really appreciate everyone of you who donate and I’m so grateful for the support you give to rescue efforts. 💕💕💕💕💕🐾

Edited to make clear that Champagne and one of her puppies will be placed for adoption together. I will not be adopting them personally. The official available for adoption post will come at a later date. 😊

Puppies had their vet appointment on Monday for vaccines and they are officially ready to go to their forever homes. It’s definitely going to be bitter sweet as they leave 🥹 Momma was close by keeping an eye on them. She is the best momma ever. She loves being a mom and it breaks my heart to think she will grieve when her babies are gone. 🥺 So… I’ve decided to include one of her puppies with her, for both to be adopted together, so that she will never have to go through that loss again. She is so sweet and communicates well with her eyes and body language. Champagne loves to go for car rides and velcros herself to the car seat when I try to get her out. 😁 The last picture is of her sitting in my lap like a child, observing her babies playing. 🥰🐶💕🐾

LGR has new rescue pups, sick pups, dirty pups, shaggy pups, always hungry pups, special needs pups, not potty trained pups but they are the most beautiful affectionate playful most loved pups ever. However, that means new vetting appointments, spay/neuter, specialist vet appointments, grooming, constant food purchases, never ending cleaning and laundry out the w***o. Please donate!!! Harley’s Cushing’s Disease, Merlots bladder tumor and Valentines liver issues were not expected. Vet care and specialist are expensive. All of the pups need good quality nutrition to help bring back their health and immunity where it should be. Food is expensive. Please donate. It’s a struggle to balance this all and I’m physically exhausted but not being able to schedule vet appointments or buy enough food is the most stressful part of rescue work for me. So please donate or volunteer to help. Thank you ☺️💕🐶🐾

Today was supposed to be Merlot’s adoption day. However, Merlot went to the vet last week for a possible UTI and a growth was found on her bladder. It was sent for a culture and the results were given today. There wasn’t any growth and so the vet is concerned that it is bladder cancer. 🥺 I’m currently researching all about bladder cancer testing and treatments that are recommended. My first thought is to see a specialist and get a confirmed absolute diagnosis, then research holistic options with the traditional medicine being plan B.
Valentine is already scheduled to see a specialist regarding her liver next Monday at Texas A&M University Small Animal Hospital. This appointment and now another specialist appointment for Merlot is going to be expensive.
I have also taken in 3 new rescues, all very young male Coton’s and getting them ready for adoption is also going to be costly for LGR.
LGR needs donations, sponsors and grants. You can also verify with your job if they do employer contributions because LGR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In addition to the special medical expenses, LGR still has the expense of food, basic vet care and grooming. Please consider donating. I will post the ways to donate in the comments. If you’re interested in helping by volunteering please send me a private message. There are so many ways to help with rescue work and LGR really needs you. 💕🐾🐶

Update- Goose is doing much better. He was unable to p**p and he started throwing up. Testing and X-rays were done. No parasites or viruses just a lot of p**p that he couldn’t pass on his own. Fluids were given and medication to continue at home. Thank you everyone for the prayers. It was definitely a scary situation 😮‍💨💕🐶🐾

Say a prayer for one of our little puppies. I just drove an hour to the nearest emergency vet. They are running test now.

There has been a lot of things going on at LGR this week and it’s not over yet! Constant bathing, brushing, drying and grooming, puppies had their first vet visit (all good), Valentine’s appt was scheduled at Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital at the end of the month, Harley and Merlot are currently at the vet, Harley getting a dental cleaning, yearly vaccinations and lab work to check his numbers and Merlot getting her spay and any vaccines that she’s needing. I took in another rescue (I will post about him later) and LolliPop came back (no fault of hers). Sparkle will go to the vet later today to check her labs and hopefully lower her medication. Whew 😮‍💨 I need a nap and some donations 🥱 Please consider donating. 💕🐾😊🐶 Video is of Bella socializing the puppies 🥰

Little Valentine “V” who was given the least amount of care before coming to LGR, now cares for others, there’s a life lesson here. Don’t stay in the past, be grateful for your blessings now and bless someone else. She is so resilient. She is also very inclusive with the other pups and initiates play time even though she was alone, kept in a cage separated from the other pups. Be like V 🥰🐾🐶💕

First taste of goats milk

We made it back from Belize and I really missed all of the pups. I have a lot of catching up to do with grooming, adoption applications/adoptions, vetting and everything in between. I’m scheduling phone interviews over the next 3 days, if you are wanting to be considered for one of the pups that I currently have here at LGR, get your application in ASAP!! 100th rescue pup

Late post because it’s been a little busy around here 😁 The birth of the fifth and final puppy was also the 100th rescue for us here at LGR. It’s not a large number compared to most rescue organizations but for a single family home with one primary rescuer (me) and 1-2 back up helpers (my husband and daughter) it’s a big deal for us. We have only had one extra person help with this last large group of pups. Your donations make this possible. I was going to stop at one point because of lack of financial support (I had spent everything I had) and then people started donating and now here we are still doing rescue work. One hundred pups given the chance to live a beautiful life in a loving home and touching the lives of numerous people is definitely something to celebrate. Thank you all for your prayers, kind words, donations, facebook likes and shares!! You’re involvement does make a difference 🥰🐾🐶💕

Sunday Cleaning. Moved the playpens outside for a spray down and thoroughly cleaned the main pup room. The floors stayed cleaned for a good 10-15 minutes!! 😁 Valentine is at the end of the video. She’s doing great, you can see her sassy little trot. She’s still not sure about humans. 🐶💕🐾😊

Valentine

Sunday morning victory report!! This is Valentine. She asked to get out of her playpen this morning to play with the other pups. She was having a blast, saying hello to everyone and everyone was really kind to her. She is so adorable and tiny. Also, another hallelujah high five… Sparkles was up and following me around this morning wagging her tail. I didn’t get a video but I’ll get one later. She’s napping now after eating a good breakfast. Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes for our delicate little babies 😊🐾🐶💕

Jem went shopping at the hardware store to get me some new gloves so we could finish his outdoor space. He is so well behaved and walks great on a leash. He’s still just as affectionate in public and would be perfectly content hugging you as you carried him around like a baby 😊🐾🐶💕

This is an update from Quinn’s family. I tried to wait and post a “Where are they now” on Wednesday but I’m just too excited about this. Y’all are going to see me on tv acting like a crazy excited Gamma in the stands one day. 😆 Quinn Update: Quinn graduated from all her Beginning Agility Classes. Quinn is now taking Competition Agility classes. This is Her Graduation Run. Quinn had the fastest time in her class, with 2 off courses. They were talking about her run in the competition class. Quinn is fast! She has (3) Certificates from completing (3) Classes. Quinn had the fastest time, with her being the smallest in the class, on the course.

Mr Jingle’s

Mr Jingle’s was in a NJ shelter, listed as a resource guarder but really he was a full on big dog, keep coming at you biter. I found out later while reading his paperwork that he had been returned once already for biting. It’s been a long journey. Everyone in our family has been bitten by Mr Jingle’s. (We call it the Mr Jingle’s bite club) We have worked on his severe allergy and yeast problems, corrected his diet and worked on his behavior. It took two of us to give him a bath and a chopped up hair cut in the beginning. It’s been 3 years and I’m finally grooming him without help. He insisted that my oldest daughter pick him up and cuddle him yesterday. There’s no doubt that he would’ve been euthanized if left in the shelter. Now he loves going on walks from the front door to the car door with a max speed of a super fast sloth 😆 He is the best shotgun riding buddy, lap warmer and if you’re really in his inner circle, the best face and neck cleaner 🤪 He will eat anything and ask for everything all day long but allergic to almost everything. No one ever has to eat alone in the kitchen, he’s always right there. 😁 Mr Jingle’s is a unique part of our pack. He won’t ever be available for adoption due to his bite history but he will stay with us forever as a family member. Side note, the video was taken in the spare bedroom that I’ve been remodeling as the new pup room and bathroom. I removed the old carpet but haven’t put down any new flooring yet but it’s on my to do list 😁

Guess who else likes the super loud squeaky toy!! 😵‍💫😁💕🐶🐾 Jem started playing and interacting with the other pups this week. This is his first time playing with a toy here and I captured it on video. 😊
