Today is my birthday and the only thing I can imagine wanting is to have our sweet big boy back with us. It’s been nearly a year since he went missing and there’s not a day that goes by that he’s not on my mind. So please please share this and if you have any information about our Oso let us know ❤️🥹

Ironically, I am due with our first child July 4th which is the day Oso was supposed to arrive from the transport company to Vancouver WA (crazy coincidence). Our Oso LOVES children, and I truly cannot imagine raising our boy without him.

Hello Oso family.

I know we haven’t posted in awhile. We have been tracking down leads, and had some tough breaks recently. We really thought we had found him about a month ago but in person realized it wasn’t him. I had to take a break from posting after that for a bit because it was so heart breaking to have felt such relief and have it come crashing down all over again. But we never stopped working in the background.

We still have not found Oso.

I attached a video that shows a dog that may or may not be Oso in Killeen TX. The dog was hanging out on a large property and very friendly but would not allow the property owners to capture him. They assumed he was missing locally because he haas been seen in the area several times by different people. When I messaged in that it looks similar to my missing dog they tried to find him again but haven’t seen him since. We could not confirm it was Oso because we don’t know if the dog was neutered, if it had dew claws, etc. The spots look very similar but the one above his front leg may be too small to be Oso as he has a fairly large gold patch there. I tried posting in local Facebook groups in that area and they all got deleted for violating group rules since I didn’t have a missing dog in that county. The original poster did post on NextDoor for me in that area and has told her neighbors to look for him. Again we don’t know if it’s Oso. It is the only lead we currently have.

If anyone thinks they may have seen him please let us know. We still love Oso and miss him dearly, we have not given up. Although we also know the reality of the situation.

While we did not get the outcome we hoped for we feel forever grateful that so many of you helped us - strangers - search for our boy.

Many of you have mentioned a recent post about a dog transport company losing another pup in Las Cruces a few days ago. Unfortunately, over the weeks and months I have been made aware of numerous similar cases.

The transport company used for Oso was not involved in any of the other dogs mentioned in the video but there are some eary similarities.

I am not looking for theories or speculation, just hoping we can spread the knowledge so other dogs don’t go missing.

Happy National Dog Day 🐾❤️… to all those dogs missing, strays still looking for homes, and beloved pets who have become family members. On this day I remain hopeful that Oso will get back to us so we can spoil him for the rest of his life. Weekend hikes, swimming in rivers, belly scratches galore, and car rides where he can stick his head through the sun roof like the goof he is!

This whole experience has shown me how unified the animal loving community can be, and we are so grateful to each and everyone who has helped looked for Oso and shared his story. Being on all the lost and found dog pages has also shown me how many strays still need love and rescue. Hopefully we can all come together to help those stray dogs too.

Hello everyone! In some exciting news there was possibly an Oso sighting around 8am yesterday morning!

The person who saw him has been very involved in the page and I believe would accurately recognize him. It’s a very promising lead. It’s close to where he was originally lost (by the loves) which follows animal behavior patterns as well, to stay within a 5 mile radius. She tried to get a video/ picture of Oso but by the time she got her phone out he was far away. I have attached the video (I personally can’t see any dog in it) but if any of you are tech wizards and can enhance it or see something I don’t please let me know!

Most importantly I have been advised by dog trappers to not post the exact location of sightings too soon because he may get scared out of the area if it becomes crowded with people looking for him/ calling his name. We have cameras and feeding stations out in the exact location. But everyone especially those who are up super early or out very late please keep an eye out for him and if you see him do not chase him or call his name as this will make him flea. Only sit on the ground and try to get a picture/ see if he will approach you.

- also we have already had drone flown last night and this morning with no sighting of him so he may have just been passing through trying to find water or food if it was him

Sweet big boy is still missing, a little over 6 weeks now. I hope he has found shelter and food.

Please if anyone has tips or sightings let me know. If you come across farmers, rural family members, homeless, shop owners in the area - please share his photo with them in case someone has seen him or found him that doesn’t know he is missing.

We have since found out other dogs have gone missing when he transported them. His page is no longer there, he has taken it down. But is still posting on uship and other platforms. Please spread the word so no other families go through this.

We are told Oso went missing July 2nd in El Paso TX around 530 am. We have not had a photo or video confirmation yet but there have been several sightings of him that were called in.

🐾I hope this video answers some of the questions everyone has had about why he was getting transported, I love Oso so much, and I know all of you have fallen in love with him too. Finding out I was getting him back was a fairy tale. This story deserves a happy ending. Oso deserves a happy ending. Please everyone keep looking.

Our assumptions about Todd were right. He lost a DIFFERENT dog on June 17th. Just two weeks prior to Oso. And then kept scamming people into thinking he was an accredited dog transporting company and took on more transporting jobs. Citizenshipper DID NOT do their due diligence in letting this man on their site, claiming to have run background checks on him, when clearly they had not. How he sleeps at night knowing he is harming so many dogs and the owners who love them is beyond me.

Thankfully the other dog was found. The owner had to fly in from Arizona and look for the dog because Todd did not do much to find the dog at all. If anything. My husband flew into El Paso to look for Oso as well when it first happened but we unfortunately were unable to find him.

I have also received messages from his ex TGI Friday’s employees and a lady that used to work at the vet he uses.

Please don’t ask for details of what we are doing about this - as this is a public page that anyone could view.

PLEASE call in tips if you have them. We are still very much looking for Oso.

1 month missing, 7/2/2021 (and a couple hours). We can’t sleep over hear. Still all seems surreal.

For those of you who came in to Oso’s story late, he was getting transported from Missouri to Washington when the transporter let Oso out at a truck stop in El Paso, TX. He didn’t look for him or alert animal control. Instead he drove away after following him for “a couple hundred yards”. He then waited 12 hours to call and notify me - a conversation that lasted 45 seconds. And he has NEVER called me back since. He managed a few short texts but never offered physical or financial help in recovering Oso.

Oso was abandoned on the side of a busy highway in a desert just 2 nights before July 4th. Imagine being lost, scared, no food or water, your family gone, and the sound of fireworks being shot off for days.

And today I find out Todd & his wife have the audacity to reopen new pages to advertise their business??? Claiming to be equipped in safely transporting dogs??? I cringe at the thought of any other dog parent going through this and falling victim to this false advertising.

Help me find Oso. And let’s make sure no one else falls victim to this.

This is an old picture, Oso was probably 1 year old here, and loving life at doggy daycare! But this shows what he looks like skinny as a lot of people have commented he’s probably lost weight. This was him at approximately 95lbs which would be a 30lb weight loss from the weight he was before going missing. Hope this helps! Also shows off how white he is aside from his head and spots

The picture today from paw boost looked a lot like him from some angles - even made me do a double take - but Oso is much more white unfortunately so it does not appear to be him. He also has a dewclaw that is like an extra toe on the back of his paw like a Pyrenees does, so it will help distinguish him from golden retrievers if he is ever caught or we need to rule dogs out

Update:
This tip appears to still be valid, the person who called in the tip said the dog she saw was NOT the golden retriever form earlier OR the dog that was lured out by the Great Dane in heat.

Possible sighting off Nunda St by the fire station this morning around 7am, unfortunately no pictures because they were driving to work.

Dog trapper went to look but didn’t find him but she did say it looks like a good hiding area for a dog!

Please keep an eye out in this area 👀 but do not yell or chase him, please please take a picture or video if seen!

The company that lost our sweet Oso is Sweet Brier Farm from Indiana. I can no longer find a website or page for them. They were found from Citizenshipper.

As you can see from our text exchang his texts were confusing and he didn’t notify me for 12 hours he was missing despite me talking to him that morning (when Oso was already missing). We called over 30 times that first 24 hours. Still have never gotten a call back.

They have also never offered to reimburse the expenses we have occurred trying to find Oso, or even messaged to see if he has been found.

For everyone asking why we used a transport company, the answer is just life circumstances. We knew we didn’t want him flying in a plane in the cargo section. We had never heard of a bad outcome from a transport company, and trusted that since it was their entire job to safely transport animals that they could do that. Unfortunately, now we have heard of many horror stories. Please understand we are grieving I understand the curiosity but remember we are humans behind this keyboard trying to find our dog. In hindsight obviously we would never use a transport company and will tell everyone we know to never use one as well now that we have heard so many awful things.

✅ We have posted Oso on every lost and found page we can find and breed specific Facebook groups
✅ He has been on local news, radio, and social media
✅ My husband flew down to El Paso to look for him
✅We checked shelters, notified vets, notified Humane Societies, and alerted animal patrol
✅ We set up PawBoost and other alert accounts
✅ We are working with a dog trapper
✅ Tons of volunteers have been out looking for him and putting up flyers
✅ We have mailed items with scents from his home to the areas he was spotted in hopes of drawing him out
✅ We have worked with a gentleman flying his drone with heat radar over the desert and through local neighborhoods several times
✅ We have worked with a scent dog, who did initially pick up Oso’s scent so we do think the driver was telling the truth and he was in El Paso. However, the transporter is the only one who will let ever know for sure what happened
✅ We have offered reward money for pictures, videos, and the safe return of Oso - no questions asked

Truthfully we don’t know what else we can do at this time , but we do know we cannot give up.

➡️ So everyone please share his page with friends and family, anyone who will listen. We need to spread the word to surrounding cities and keep looking in El Paso too.

We are worried parents over here, several people have called in sightings but still no photo confirmation.

Because of that we are now offering $50 to any and all original posters of a confirmed Oso picture or video.

We are also still offering $1000 for a reward for finding our boy. He is missing in El Paso TX.

Please do not chase him if you do stumble across this majestic giant, if you see still take a picture or video (sorry to be redundant). You can try sitting on the ground and throwing treats towards him to see if he will approach. But we don’t want to scare him off.

There was a possible sighting on the golf course at 11am yesterday, at 2 am near the Walmart off Horizon last night, and possibly off McRae BLvd at 8am today. It’s unlikely he was in all 3 of these spots which again emphasizes the importance of photos. Please still continue to call or message in any and all tips!
