Here is a suggestion, use a 1 gallon stainless steel bucket for you dogs water vs a plastic bucket. I have found several benefits in using these buckets vs the normal 5 gallon buckets I seen people use in their yards. No algae, fresher water for your dogs and it allows you to interact more with your dogs. I raise the buckets with these discarded real estate sign frames.

Building a 48" length × 36" width × 32" height dog house. Will be insulated, a small 12" wall to block the elements from coming in and will have a heat lamp inside for those cold winter nights.
