Getting the new pond ready for this years hunt test. Disked, dragged , seeded and rolled. Looking forward to using the new pond, hopefully we get a half inch of rain on it now!!!

It might be Labor Day, but that doesn’t mean we are taking the day off! Even though all the hunt tests in our region have wrapped up, there is no off season. We are already making preparations for next year’s hunt test. We are dedicated to making our test a handler and judge favorite.

Tonight we ended up having three title swims! Derek Ratliff,JoLynn Olson, and Amber Schwartz took the plunge along with Annie to celebrate their new titles. Congratulations you guys! (they were good sports with only a minimal amount of complaining)

Today we concluded our annual hunt test. It was quite successful, in talking with many handlers and trainers we received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback. Our new hunt grounds were a massive success, and we were overjoyed to be able to have all of our hunts within close proximity to each other.

The highlight of our hunt test was to have not one, but two dogs finish with Hall of Fame status. Congratulations to Dane Johnson (Avery) and Mark Strickland (Griffey)!

A few of our members got together today and sacrificed their Saturday on the holiday weekend, so that we could continue to make improvements to our hunt test grounds.

Our club is dedicated in providing the highest quality and safest hunt test experience for those that wish to attend. We look forward to seeing you all next weekend!

Just as a reminder…All of our hunt test grounds will be in the same area as our finished tests have been in previous years. Check in is located at 45254 190th St Morris, MN. Please stay off the driveway. Approach on the east side roadway.

‼️IMPORTANT details regarding our Hunt Test scheduled for July 9th & 10th‼️

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the location of our test grounds has changed.

The address of the new “home base” is 45254 190th Street Morris, MN 56267. It’s only a few miles from the original location. Please see the pin below for a map.

There is still plenty of room for camping, parking, airing dogs, etc. There will be a food truck on the grounds for lunch both days & the banquet meal Saturday.

Celebrating Flag Day at training night tonight!

If you haven’t already, make sure to get registered for our hunt test July 9 and 10. As of this post, 1 spot remained in Finished both days and several spots remain in seasoned and started.

Some of our club members met up today at the new hunt test grounds to break it in and run some dogs. The overwhelming opinion of the members is that the grounds are absolutely fantastic and we look forward to many years of running dogs here. Our regular practice night will be Tuesday at Kim and JoLynns.

A couple of Announcements…

*NO training or meeting tonight- this has been postponed!

*Training this Saturday (May 7th) at Kim & JoLynn’s. We will start at 11:00 a.m. The grounds in Morris are just too wet to start there.

*We will have a potluck lunch. Bring something for the grill or a dish to share!
