🥛Free Milk and Eggs Today🍳

Woke up to terrible news. This whole morning has been a complete nightmare.

My wife Tina has been diagnosed with endometrial cancer, we got the phone call just this morning. We are definitely in shock and overwhelmed about this news.

To make todays gut punch even worse, when I went out to open the store I found a notice on the store window saying I have to close the store.

The store has been closed down by the Illinois Department of Revenue. We are behind on tax payments, we have been making installment payments to get caught up but apparently have not been paying it down fast enough.

My only option is to book enough hogs to pay it off. If anyone wants to help us out by purchasing a whole hog from our farm I would really appreciate it. We are going to go ahead and book hogs for September through the end of the year.

If we can get 2-3 months worth of hogs booked we will be able to immediately re-open the store.

Another issue we have is that we just restocked all of our perishable milk, dairy, and eggs. We are going to give it all away so that it doesn’t go to waste.

You don’t have to tip or donate anything, but it would really be appreciated if you did. Please limit yourself to one gallon of milk and two dozen eggs so more people can have some.

We’ve done our best but sometimes these things happen.

Thank you very much to all of the wonderful customers that have supported our small business over the years. My hope is this is just a temporary hurdle and that we will soon be able to provide local food from our little store again in the very near future.
