Just in case you haven't heard there is a mysterious influenza-like virus spreading among dogs across the country, and it has recently been detected in our area. The cause is not yet known.
Here at Highland Wind Kennels we are taking every precaution and making every effort to guard against its spread. We have always taken pride in cleanliness and we have always sanitized each kennel after each guest visits, and clean as needed during your pets stay.
We are stepping up the effort and have recently hired Call of Doody to perform weekly sanitizing of the kennel yards with an environmentally and animal safe spray to guard against viruses and other communicable illnesses.
As usual we will be asking each client to make sure your doggos are fully vaccinated to include the kennel cough (Bordetella) vaccine and that you have a copy of the up to date vaccinations for each visit. We are also asking that if they have not yet received the canine influenza vaccine to talk to your vet about immunization.

The kennel is open for business! Thank you for your patience during my 6 weeks of vacation, as I celebrated my retirement. It is so good to be home. I missed all of my clients and can't wait to see you during the busy holidays ahead!
