Our sweet boy, Cayenne, is still in search of a forever home. This is his story:
π This big guy has always been spunky, playing hard and sleeping hard, his long tail going great guns when you give him attention. But leading up to his 8-week vet check, we began to wonder if something was wrong with Cayenne's hind legs. Sometimes a leg would slip out from under him, and he would fall to his side, then good-naturedly get up to chase a sibling again.
π Then at the vet he was diagnosed with a luxating patella, which means his knee cap is loose and sometimes slips out of place. We were told that with plenty of exercise he would build muscle and his patella would slip less often, letting him keep up his quality of life.
π Since then we have searched for a home that is willing to care for him in this condition and give him all the attention he deserves. We took a good bit off his adoption price since he could require extra vet care and physically his health is not perfect.
π But Cayenne is a sweetie - he'll follow you everywhere and jump into your arms the minute you let him. He's doing splendidly with house and crate training and is even learning the command "sit". He'll fill his home with all the love he receives and so much more. πΆπ
