Coptodon kottae (formerly kottae) is an endangered species of fish in the cichlid family, Cichlidae. It is endemic to Lake Barombi-ba-Kotto and the smaller nearby Lake Mboandong in the Southwest Region of Cameroon.

I’ve successfully bred them and here is a clip of a couple dozen fry growing out.

I’m fortunate to have 6 fish that I hope to raise and breed.

This endangered species of fish in the cichlid family is endemic to Lake Barombi-ba-Kotto and the smaller nearby Lake Mboandong in the Southwest region of Cameroon.
This fish is called Copodone Kottae. They are currently under an inch. There are some distinct patterns and size different between male and female.

Scientific name Pseudotropheus Crabro. This bumblebee cichlid or hornet cichlid, is a species of cichlid endemic to Lake Malawi. You may find it in a variety of habitats but most it’s most popular spot is located within large boulders and around cavelike structures. These are among the bigger Mbunas. Reaching on average 7” all the up 10” at full Maturity. Within the first year, a Bumblebee can break 5” easily.
