Reflecting on a fantastic weekend showing at the Anna Bays Memorial Horse Show. Rip was a rockstar for all of the prep including having his ears clipped for the first time. He impressed me all weekend with how quiet he was. Such a good baby!

A few weeks ago Rip and I hauled downstate to a desensitizing clinic with Trevor Walton. Rip was one of few horses doing everything in hand, and he did amazing! He handled all of the obstacles like a champ. Walked over poles without even ticking them, backing through chutes, and worked through other common trail obstacles and random objects like pool noodles.
His patience and attention span was definitely shot by the end of the 2 hour clinic, but he was definitely trying his best to hold it together. This little guy always puts in full effort. He is a true testament to the success of the Clark Farms Quarter Horses selective and thoughtful breeding program. I can’t thank Laramie Clark Booth and the rest of the Clark family enough for this sweet boy, it’s been such an honor to work with him✨

Rips first time loading with me! Only ever time he was hauled was on his way here to Michigan. Super proud of how well he did and all of his progress so far. He hauled super quietly. Whatta good boy.

End of week 1! Rip was such a good boy this week, I’m so very impressed with him!

Week 2 has been very uneventful for us. I’ve been sick since Sunday, but I’m hoping I can work with him tomrorow and through the weekend and make another update.
