None of my dogs, all the sires or dams, have ever shown the genetic problem. It has been brought to my attention in the past 10 years that 3 puppies out of many litters had been diagnosed with hip dysplasia. It can not be diagnosed until they are close to a year old. Prevention steps are: not letting the dog jump a lot like onto funiture or in and out of a truck until they are at least 10 months old; not overfeeding them the first year. As with anything, there are risk factors that can happen.

Shelby the yellow/white female is being retired and is needing a forever home. She is great with children. She is a great companion, protector and as lovable as they come. My new female Jolene (black) is taking Shelby’s place as my new Dam. (Hopefully puppies later this year.) Yes Jolene took Codigo (brown) Shelby’s guy😂🤣. Shelby just turned 7 on the 1st. She is free to a good home. She is kennel trained and house trained. She is good with cats and other animals. She is a lab so yes she digs if you leave her unattended😂. She will be able to go after she is spayed next month. Please reach out if you are interested.
