It is with an extremely heavy heart that I have to announce that as of June 12, 2024. I will no longer be grooming and operating as The Familiar Dog. I cannot express the amount of love and gratitude I have for all of our clients who have become like friends and family over these last 11 years. We have relocated our family to Greenville Delaware, on top of the move, and several new health issues that have arisen within the last year, I have chosen to step away from Grooming full-time to allow my body time to heal and rest.
This was a very hard decision to make but I am certain it was the right one.

I will continue Grooming Wednesdays at our Elkton location until June 12th.
We are currently booked through April. Please consider booking soon if you would like an appointment before we close.

Thank you to the hundreds of clients who have helped me grow this business into what it is. Thank you for adapting with me over the years while we changed locations, worked out kinks, grew and downsized.

I will still be offering nail trimmings once a month at Cecil County Animal Services. You can continue to follow our page for those dates. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

**New Credit Card Policy Effective 9/30/2023**

Due to the rising processing rates for credit cards, we have made the decision to begin adding a 4% fee for all credit card transactions.
If paying with a credit card, a $25 deposit will be required at booking and an email invoice will be sent then evening after your pets appointment for the remaining balance. This change will allow us to avoid raising our grooming prices.
We will still accept cash, Venmo and Cash App.

We will be partnering with cecil county animal services to continue offering nail trimming services. We will be there the last Saturday of every month from 9 to 11 AM. The cost is $10. All proceeds go directly to CCAS. Please contact the familiar dog with any questions.
