Today's second unboxing video is brought to you by Beyond the Wire!
Also taking barn name suggestions for this one in the comments!
Duckpins is a big, 4 year old, chestnut gelding that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire. He is retiring after 17 races. Hasn't won a race in over a year and it was just time for him to move on. The good news is he's expected to have retired sound without limitations, which we'll confirm with our vet when he's evaluated!
Duckpins is by Uncle Lino and out of a Talent Search mare so he's got some cool breeding. Indian Charlie fans will be happy to note he is Duckpins' great-grandsire.
Duckpins hasn't been seen to have any vices in the short time he's been with us and will be evaluated by our vet shortly. Stay tuned to the website for updates and more information!
He's a lot more handsome in person than his unboxing video shows as they don't all pose right off the trailer. :)

Today's first unboxing video brought to you by Beyond the Wire:
We're taking barn name suggestions in the comments for this one!
WalkOnTheWildSide is a big, 2 year old, bay gelding that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire. He only raced one time and "wasn't going to be the next American Pharoah" so he is lucky to retire early and sound!
This handsome fella is by Golden Lad and out of a Milwaukee Brew mare. This means he has so many greats in his pedigree: Medaglia d'Oro, El Prado (IRE), Seeking the Gold, Wild Again, Mt Livermore, to name a few without going back too far!
WalkOnTheWildSide will be evaluated by our vet soon but is not expected to have any limitations. We'll get an accurate height and all that once he's settled in a bit more so stay tuned to the website for those details!

So proud of Where’s the Ben’s, it’s a windy chilly day and he was so good!!
Indy's Golden Girl arrives!
Today's unboxing video brought to you by New Start!
Also, not every horse understands we're asking for a certain pose off the trailer, but that's okay! She's a gorgeous mare!
Indy's Golden Girl is a 4 year old, chestnut mare that arrived to us in partnership with New Start for Horses based out of Penn National. She raced 17 times and is reportedly retiring sound. While she won her second to last race, she's not competitive enough for new race conditions at her level and was able to retire.
Indy's Golden Girl is by Mineshaft and out of a Flying Chevron mare. In addition to being a granddaughter of AP Indy, she also got some other great names in her pedigree like Carson City, Seattle Slew, and Mr Prospector.
Since she just arrived, she's not yet been evaluated by our veterinarian on the farm but will be soon. Stay tuned for more information when we have it!
Overdue unboxing video! This one presented by Aftercare Charles Town
True Heiress is a nice sized, 9 year old, bay, warhorse mare who came to us in partnership with Aftercare Charles Town. This girl raced an incredible 68 times and retired SOUND and CLEAN!! Amazing. She is by Wildcat Heir and out of a Yes It's True mare and was clearly made of some tough stuff.
With her last race just on October 19th, she's getting much deserved down time to be a horse and enjoy being on a farm again but our vet said she was super clean and sound which is just amazing after almost 70 races. This warhorse mare is made of iron! Our vet did not expect her to have any limitations.
Heiress has no vices, has been easy to deal with and seems to have a great, soft temperament. She does still enjoy a good lap around the field once in a while with her pasture mate but otherwise is so happy to eat and just take in the scenery.
We plan to give her some deserved time off but she is available to a great home that appreciates a good warhorse in brain and body. We expect she'll be amateur friendly and have a lot to give to her lucky adopter.

Early is pretty convinced this box is for her, then she gives that look saying “I’m not doing anything wrong…”
Today's unboxing video brought to you in partnership with New Start for Horses!
PracticallyMine arrived the other day. He is a 4 year old, bay gelding that came to us in partnership with New Start for Horses. He raced 26 times, was bred in Kentucky and is by Practical Joke and out of a Storm Cat mare. While most people know Storm Cat, Practical Joke brings Harlan's Holiday and Distorted Humor into his pedigree.
This cool guy had a minor tendon injury, presumably around the time of his last workout October 4th, 2024. When our vet saw him he was already sound and the tendon cool to the touch. Ultrasound showed it was incredibly mild. She prescribed hand walking for just 2 weeks and then he shold graduate to small turnout. She said he had an unlimited future ahead of him! Just needs some time!

Our second unboxing video of the week! Located in Oxford, PA.
Fierce Competition is a good looking, 3 year old, bay gelding that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire in Maryland. He raced 6 times and never quite won a race and had issues with the loading gate which ultimately ended his career.
He is by Competitive Edge and out of an Awesome Again mare. He seems to have a good temperament and we were lucky that he saw our vet soon after arrival. She found him to be very sound, fancy, and expects him to go on to a new career without limitations. She liked him so much she asked for his "unboxing video" to share with some of her contacts!
This guy doesn't have any vices and we will post more information as we get to know him. In the meantime he's available to someone who is happy to give him some let down time (he raced pretty soon before arrival here) and who enjoys doing the restart process themselves.

One off this week's unboxing videos! Located in Oxford, PA.
My Endeavor is a adorable, 15.1 hand, 3 year old, grey gelding that came to us in partnership with Beyond the Wire in Maryland. He raced just 11 times and never quite won a race. He retired sound and sane!
Endeavor is by Barbados and out of a Curlin mare. Curlin needs no introduction, but Barbados brings Speightstown, Street Cry (IRE), and others into his pedigree.
He was evaluated by our vet the day after arrival and she found him to be sound, adorable, and ready to go in any direction without limitations! We have noticed him to be a light cribber since arrival and a fairly loose cribbing collar seems to keep that at bay.
We will post more information on him as we have it!

I wouldn’t say there’s a right or wrong way to play with a jolly ball, but Get Them Digits decided trying to smoosh the air out is best!
Poultice! And the cutest little stallion you could ask for. Israeli Army is such a good boy for all his therapies. đź’ś
Unified Play is a big, 4 year old, dark bay gelding that came to us in partnership with New Start for Horses, based out of Penn National. This big guy only had one start. Bit of an unknown what he was up to for a year but we know he changed hands in that time, and while he had a lot of workouts this year, he had issues with the starting gate which ultimately was his reason for retirement.
Bred in Kentucky, Unified Play has some nice breeding. He's by Unified and out of an Elusive Quality mare.
We were lucky that our vet was already on the farm when he arrived, so he was evaluated right off the trailer. It's worth noting he was very kind and easy to handle even right off the trailer. Our vet found him sound and
believes he can go in any direction without limitations.
Unified Play has no vices and since arrival, he's been turned out with the same gelding he arrived here with on the trailer. They seem to get along very well.
