The Story behind the red dog in the Tails on Trails logo- Max.

I got out of work early that day, and had recently moved from the barracks into my 1992 Tioga Fleetwood. I decided to go check out Jax ASPCA.

Max was one of the first ones I had seen and fell in love instantly. Turns out, 4 families came to meet him after seeing him on the news that morning, and no one came back for him.

Thousands of miles in the car, a genuine love for children and elder people, ate whole fish. You couldn't have asked for a better dog.

Max crossed the rainbow bridge in December of 2022 at the ripe age of 15. He will forever be my soul dog, and this business is in his memory.

The story behind the little yellow dog in the Tails on Trails logo;

I think like every kid that didn't have a dog growing up... I wanted a dog. And begged for a puppy. All. The. Time.

Until finally , I was 13 years old, and I got my very first dog. A Bichon Poodle mix who I named Alamo. (Thanks TX history)

Over the years he became my Grandparents dog, but I've never stopped loving him the same way since we brought him home 17 years ago.

Today he's mostly blind, deaf, and moves a little slower, but he's still so special to me.
