❗️Due to the people reaching out to others about us gently lifting Roland's tail to get him to use his feet, I am making this post. Roland is NOT being harmed. Roland does NOT have swimmer syndrome. He is not a typical kitten who we can just treat for swimmer syndrome. He was born with the cord tightly bound around his hind legs. He was at risk of euthanasia before he came to me. It was recommended for him. We are doing EVERYTHING and ANYTHING we can to get him to use his legs, including gently lifting his tail. We are NOT holding him by his tail. We are just giving him a gentle lift. I stand by my decision. It has helped him. Obviously as he grows he may have different options but currently there's nothing besides therapy that can be done to try and help him regain his strength. If you have an issue with how we are handling him, please reach out and I'll be happy to speak with you. Roland has a sling, we try using it every day but because he is a baby its very hard to get the fabric between his tiny pelvis and keep it there. He also has a little wedge incline that he does exercises on as well (thank you to a follower for this suggestion). I love these babies so much and would never do a single thing that would harm them. Again, making this post due to some people's concerns ❤️ thank you all for being here ❤️❗️

If only his momma was spayed. Both Roland and Yzan are being tube fed as they won't latch onto the ni**le. They are also having their feedings slowly increased so they can gain some weight. They're a week old and the size of newborns 🥺

Meet Roland and Yzan (thank you Valerie for the names)! We have a pair of very special kitty's who came today. One is very very special. His back legs are deformed and were tightly bound by the umbilical cord at birth and he is going to need lots of therapy to try and regain strength in his back legs as he is barely able to use them. He is also missing his little fingers on one hand. The other baby seems to not have any deformities, but it's never what I CAN see that I worry about. It's always what we CAN'T see inside that worries me. So please send all the love and prayers!

I saw people asking for a Scooper update and I'm very happy to tell you all that he is doing so well! He will be getting fixed and fully vetted once he is done being treated for tapeworms! Yes, he has tapeworms and I hate them lol they're gross. But he's such a sweet, playful baby and will be looking for a forever home once he is fully vetted ❤️

❤️ BLITZEN UPDATE ❤️ Now that little Blitzen is warm and not hypothermic, he is alert and eating ❤️ He is getting fluids as he is very dehydrated, and he's started on some meds and dewormers. He's so sweet but a little scared (I would be too if I just went through what he did!) Please keep the prayers and love coming for little Blitzen ❤️ Thank you all so much for always being amazing!
