Senior Sunday is back, everyone! This week, help us show some love to CHARGER ⚡️

Charger was transferred to us from our Ottawa location due to stress he was experiencing in the shelter. Being here for 6+ months is loud, crowded, and overwhelming, especially for a senior dog 💔. Luckily, our volunteers at both locations LOVE spending time with Charger, and we’ve seen what a sweet, happy dog he really is under all that stress. He gets regular baths, which he enjoys, he is a treat puzzle connoisseur, and LOVES going for car rides to snag a pup cup. We know his forever family is out there, but we need your help finding them. Saturday's Happy Tail: A 14-Year Love Story 🐾💖
Adoption is a lifelong commitment, and we’re here to celebrate a beautiful example of that! Meet Trytten, who was adopted 14 years ago from Emporia and is still living his best life with his forever family. 🐕🎉 His parents said he has lived a very spoiled life with many other fur siblings!

This is what adoption is all about – a lifetime of love, adventures, and memories. Thank you to all the families who make this commitment and prove that adoption is forever, and thank you to Trytten's humans for sharing this wonderful story with us. 💕🐾

🌞🐾 The weather is finally warming up, and our amazing volunteers are back in full swing! Every day it's nice out, we're making sure our pups get extra playtime in the runs, but our ultimate goal is to have every dog walked by a volunteer every day. Yesterday, we reached that goal, and some of our furry friends even got out twice for a walk! 🎉 We couldn't do it without our dedicated volunteers.

But we can always use more hands! 🐾 If you're looking to make a difference in a dog's life, please sign up and join our volunteer team. Let's keep those tails wagging! 💕🐶

This dog, appears to be a female terrier mix mostly white with grey spots, is running loose around Belmont Mobile Park near E. 6th and Weaver St. City Animal Control was not able to get close enough to catch. Last seen at 1120am when it disappeared behind a home at the northeast corner of 6th and Weaver.

Christmas came early for our pups! 🎄 thanks to Tisha and her awesome family for the yummy food, they sure appreciated it! We ❤️ our community. If you need a new best friend and want to give a dog a home for the holidays, come visit us Monday - Saturday 9-6!

Whatever you think the shelter does not have, it’s always worth checking! Even if it’s not exactly what you had in mind, there are so many incredible dogs here waiting for their families.
