It’s time to start planning for our 13th Southside Virginia Dog Show which will be held May 18, 2024 at the Golden Leaf Commons. Plans are underway and more information will be coming soon for registration of dogs for the show. This is also be a very special show as EGHS will be celebrating their 20th year anniversary. More information about tickets also will be coming soon. Hope you will come out and celebrate with us.

I love to see each fur baby adopted, but when one is adopted that has been with us all its life, even though we love on him and he has a good temporary home here, my heart feels so good when they can finally have a loving lifetime home. This is our sweet Precious who is 9 years old and was adopted Saturday to a wonderful lady, he will have a sister and brother in his new home, we will miss this handsome fellow but are so happy for him, his new home will be in Richmond . Thank you Ann Cosby for giving Precious his loving home

Congratulations to our little girl Millie. Millie found her new mom this week. She turned on the charm and worked her sweet magic on Kaitlyn Turner grabbing all of Kaitlyn's heart. It was love at first sight on both sides. Another happy ending or really happy new beginning!!

Precious little Grace (on left) not only found her new moms this evening but gained a new sister ,Coco, as well. Grace is still a little shy but Coco will have her out of her shell in no time at all. They are going to be a wonderful family! I have a feeling Grace will be enjoying a nice soft bed tonight as she bonds with her new mom Jasmine Bell. Thank you Jasmine for wanting to love this sweet baby.

Happy FUR-EVER FRIDAY. Let's meet Rosie.
Rosie is a gorgeous brindle mix who is just waiting for her person to step forward and offer her a loving, forever home. She is very high energy and needs space to spread her wings. Rosie's favorite game is catch with her favorite green ball. That green ball doesn't leave her side. It goes outside with her and she is quick to scoop it up and bring it back inside when she comes. Happy Fur-Ever Friday Y'all !! Handsome Toby is still waiting for his dream to come true. That's to be back in a home where he can give and receive unconditional love. He's patiently waiting to meet his new family. Given the chance, he will quickly become your best friend. It's been several months now since he came to live at EGHS. He deserves his happy ending ! We have 8 gorgeous fur-babies for you on FOREVER FRIDAY today. These precious little ones are between 10 & 12 weeks old, full of life and ready with tons of kisses to share. Each & every one is just begging to give unconditional love!! They will be medium to large dogs when grown. They currently weigh from 9 lbs. to 12 lbs. and need to find their forever home. Take a look at our sweetheart "Maggie Mae" , aka Meredith. She has really thrived with her new mom. She gets more beautiful every day. What an awesome happy ending for a little girl who had a really rough start in life!!

Today our Red got his forever home. Red is a very special doggie, his owner passed away and he was left to take care of  his self and during this time he hurt his right front leg and because it was not taken care of he has a disability with that leg.
He is such a sweet boy and we here at EGHS love him dearly and have found him a forever loving home to spend the rest of his life. We love you Red and will miss you so much, but at the same time so very happy for you.
