Cue water works. A sweet long term training client of mine sent these. And a stuffed animal for c**t. Tragedies bring so much pain, but the love I’ve gotten from this community go unmatched. I am so incredibly grateful for everyone’s prayers, words, just everything yall have done for me and my family as we work through this. I’m not sure what I’ve done so right in this life, but I’m so grateful for the outpouring of love and support that really make a girl feel valued.

These animals are my life and it’s clearly no secret how much of me goes in to each horse and each kiddo. I am overwhelmed with the amount of love and support I’ve received and am just so incredibly blessed to be able to serve this community.

With everything going on I have yet to announce Winston, proudly nicknamed Winnebago by yours truly because I couldn’t resist, into our training program. His owner dropped him off Friday before all of the drama and I’ve found myself sitting in his pen more than anything. Awfully drawn to this guy, but not sure why. Anyway, we are working through some behaviors and working towards riding him without him bolting 🤭.

He likes me now so gets to enjoy pasture time. Keepi following for updates on his progress

My baby my heart. I am so sorry I couldn’t save you. My heart is completely shattered.

He broke his shoulder and his ulna. Too many very serious injuries and only two good legs. We had to do right by him and euthanize.

You’ll forever be a Part of my soul and my heart will never be the same

Heaven gained two of the best angels in the past 24 hours.

Donations covered his vet bills and euthanasia. Thai you for all of the support and love everyone has offered the past two days.

Mr k update- warning, hard to watch.

Mr k appears to no longer be in shock, which is great. He’s still pawing at the ground but not nearly as aggressively and we aren’t sweating profusely or grunting nearly as much. The fleighman response has stopped and only comes out when I have to give him his yucky meds.

His injuries are pretty clearly his elbow. It was hard to tell initially due to the shock and adrenaline still pulsing through him. We will likely have surgery, potentially tomorrow as we want to do it asap. X-rays when my vet gets to town this evening will confirm.

We have spoken to the surgeon who told us whether we got X-rays yesterday or today will not change the outcome at all- or I would have hauled a vet here from Stillwater last night.

To everyone who has sent fundraiser ideas, or offered auction items, seriously, thank you. I’m in absolutely no mindset to set any fundraisers up. My mental capacity is completely full trying to keep things running, keep the house in order, and constantly running meds, stall cleans and rebeds, researching after care to prepare myself for the long road to recovery and collecting bandaging, meds etc to keep him as comfortable as possible. He got his muscle relaxers and pain pills this morning: I will give him 30 min and go check to make sure he’s comfortable and hopefully laying down.

Please keep the prayers coming for a miracle.

Will update this evening as I gain more info with X-rays.

We have gotten Joey to his final resting place. Mr k is in joeys old stall as that’s as far as we could get him to go but he is looking more comfortable than earlier. We are so grateful to everyone who has reached out, the people who have helped us get Mr k more comfortable, those who have offered to donate raffle items, donations that I was not at all

I’m incredibly blessed to be a part of such an amazing community ensuring their own succeed. I will update everyone with Mr k’s next steps as I know them tomorrow.
