School is back in session! Which means our morning riders will need to move to afternoon unless you’re home schooled!

Lessons for our school aged students:

I am happy to do 6 am before school lessons! (I am well aware most of you will not do this, but I do have several who do 🤭) just so everyone knows it is an option!

I will not be able to schedule lessons from 7-830 to give me time to get c**t up and to school- I will be home to start lessons from 8:30-1 (for those of you with homeschool kiddos or not in school yet)

I will break daily from 2-3:30 and resume evening lessons from 3:45 -6

It’s not all about time in the saddle. Horsemanship starts from the minute you step into the barn. We learn and gain more from being on the ground from riding! Horsemanship isnt just going fast in the saddle. There’s so much more to it than that!

Friends! We need your help!!!

An opportunity and growth plan has presented itself to help not only our students, but our community as well. We are still in the very very beginning phases of this, so I don’t want to give away too much information, yet! However, I do want to share I would need to take classes to earn a certification that will help our communities businesses, your children, and our communities “special needs” individuals as the training necessary to achieve the certification will give me ideas, lesson plans, and additional knowledge to support our clients and community more!

Here’s where you come in! This training is going to cost me about $8,000 I’ll be honest, I don’t have. All of our funds go back into feeding and caring for our horses and updating our facilities as we can afford to. My solution for this is a dining fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse.

I’d love feedback! Is this a good idea, bad idea, would you support?!

As the week ahead approaches, I wanted to remind/educate on horse safety in the heat! My tip priority is safety, of both your kiddos and my horses.

With that said, if it is too hot to ride, we will find a ground activity. This could be learning to disassemble a bridle and saddle, cleaning it, and putting it back together, it could be practicing showmanship or giving a horse a bath. These are all just as important as riding.

I also wanted to remind everyone water is imperative! Please make sure you’re bringing your kiddos plenty of water! They are also welcome to bring a cooling rag if they need!
