We want to thank everyone for all the blankets, straw and jackets for our babies. As temperatures drop, we are adjusting to the temperatures. We are in need of tarps, clear showers curtain liners, heavy duty zip ties & bungee cords. We will begin hanging clear showers curtains in our cattery to block the wind as well as tarps to block the wind in our dog kennels.

Who gives their fur babies several different nicknames? We’ll meet Chrysanthemum better know as “Chris & the mom”!!! This is one of our kitties that has a silly nickname & she answers to both. Stop in & give her a new life and hopefully a new nickname so she can shed the “Chris & the mom” one.

Lewis is one of our playful beagles that was recently adopted. He has fit in perfectly and has two best friend he can grow old with. We love receiving updates on our past residents. Please keep them coming.

On December 20th we met Bo, we didn’t know his story. He laid in a truck near death and the scars on his body told us of the horrific life he had been dealt. We gave him a name but were unsure if he would live long enough to know that people were decent & his life mattered. Bo had so many holes, lacerations to his body we couldn’t count. He was quickly taken to the urgent care and moaned in pain when you touched him covered in dried blood; infection in every laceration.

Two weeks have passed & Bo is a fighter. Days he didn’t want to get up, we helped him. His strength has returned and his appetite for treat & life hasn’t dulled. Today we cut his plastic cone off; he was so excited but we replaced it with a more comfortable, yet stylish collar. He was a little embarrassed at first until he realized how this cone provided him a pillow to rest his head. His legs look amazing after only 2 weeks.

We know when people see him they are fearful of him but they don’t know his story like we do. He fought hard for a life he didn’t even realize existed. A world where people can be cruel to allow an animal suffer like this. Yet on the other side he has an army of people that will never let this happen to him again. Bo is a survivor!! Monday he will have his staples removed and the stitches taken from what is left of his ear, but he is beautiful to us no matter how many scars he has because he is a survivor.

Bo still has a long way to go still but we are over that hump where he isn’t in pain and his true personality is coming through.
