Kokanee will do best as a pet, as her prey drive is still a bit too much for goats and chickens. She does well with bucks, though, and does not over bark or test fences. Her personality is somewhat aloof, super sweet, gentle with people and children, loves to be brushed and loved on, and the vet comments on how chill and compliant she is. She walks very well on leash, is easy going with nail trims, and loves other dogs.

Koko will need to live with at least one other large dog to play and wrestle with. Not asking much financially for the right person/people. Needs to move on asap. Come meet her or get in touch for more info!

Another reminder for me to trust my dogs!

I was in the house with Alki when a cacophony of barking ensued outside. I was in the middle of something and brushed it off as nothing important. But it didn't stop, and it intensified. Alki & I ran out to find that Kokanee, Snoqualmie, & Palouse had surrounded a large bullsnake while Eros & Yakima worked a wider berth, keeping eyes on the goats. Alki (alpha) did rounds, checking the threat and then making sure everyone was behaving appropriately. I caught the snake, put it temporarily in a bucket, and Alki stood guard over that bucket until I called her off. They all received lots of praise and snuggles afterwards.

When they bark, it's for a reason. Really proud of my pack!

p.s. I love snakes - this one has been a great mouser😄

Acer, our 2 year old, purebred Nubian herd sire (ADGA registration in process), has given us beautiful daughters that we're retaining. So, it's time for this big (approx 160 lbs), sweet fella to find a new herd. Very gentle nature, quiet, knows his name, walks well on leash, loves affection, cooperates for hoof trims & vax.

Two black, yearling, purebred Nubian does would love to accompany Acer as a breeding trio! These two gals are 1 year old, not really tame, parents registered but they are not.

C-sections and triplets are the theme this year. It was Ruby's turn today - 2 bucklings survived and are doing well. The third, a doeling, was stillborn. There were complications... Ruby & I are exhausted! I'm uber grateful for Dr. Flinchum and friends who came to assist!

Please, Universe, no more c-sections this year!

We're in the middle of kidding season! Three of our Nigerian Dwarfs kidded in the last 3 days.

Mocha had triplets unassisted, Peanut had triplets via late night emergency c-section (2 of the 3 survived), and Cinnamon had a gigantic single kid. Everyone is doing well!
