‼️Another Emergency Intake! This tiny 3 week old boy was found all alone stuck in some brambles and thick brush screaming his head off. He was starving and just drank a whole bottle of kitten milk and stimulated him to go p*e. He feels so much better! Welcome to your new life little one 🩵🩵🩵

‼️Emergency Intake - one of our fosters stepped up to foster this tiny 3 to 4 week old girl. She has a really infected eye and upper respiratory infection. She is able to eat some slurry from a dish. Please send her some good vibes. 💕💕💕

Adoption day finally arrived. Hunter excitedly said goodbye to his friends and anxiously waited at the door. But his new family never showed… even after everything was finalized, it was a matter of a few hours before they changed their mind. Hunter's foster mom broke the news and is heartbroken. He thinks it's his fault, no matter how many times we've told him it's not. Now, all his friends and siblings are preparing for their special day, and he can’t help but think, “Will that day ever come for me?” Will you be his hero and be the fur-ever family he deserves?

If we say we full, please don't yell at us or bad-mouth us, we are doing the best we can. We are a small foster-based organization that is already stretched to its limits and often takes in more than its limits, which is where it currently stands. We are not a shelter and don't have unlimited space or unlimited resources. PLEASE BE KIND

What’s the most frustrating thing I read on the internet in regards to animal welfare?

‼️ Somebody please do something ‼️

I am well-aware that those comments and ones similar to them come from well-intentioned, good-hearted animal lovers just like you and me. I TRY to remind myself, but those comments are one of my biggest pet p*eves. Why? Because when I see those comments, I see someone telling others what to do while admitting they are not willing or able to do it themselves.

Animal advocates are typically volunteers. They have jobs. They have families. They have laundry. They have a life. Their spaces fill. The demands on their time are overwhelming while caring for sick and homeless animals they already have. Shelters and rescues are in the same boat. Just because they are “an organization” doesn’t mean they have unlimited space, time or money. They cannot show up and say yes every time. It’s not possible.

When someone posts about a stray animal who showed up and they are looking for an owner or help or guidance, stating that they can’t take the animal in. People comment:
“It’s so cold, please take the baby inside!”
“Please don’t leave that cat outside! It’s dangerous!!”
“Can’t you just put it in the bathroom for tonight?”

No one offers help, only criticism of the person who is not doing what they think she should be doing.

How about??
“It’s so cold, I would be happy to pick up this baby so it can be inside.”
“I’m happy to come pick up the cat so it will be safe.”
“I have a spare bathroom I can house the cat in for tonight.”

If you yourself are unable to help because of circumstances, why do you assume someone else is willing and able to do what you are not?

If your only advice is for “somebody” to please do something, just refrain from commenting. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Rant over.

The new baby has a really sweet face (we cleaned her eyes that were crusted shut) but an even more unique coat. It has a lot of white undertones and she is super fluffy! 🩷🩷🩷
