A Tip for Protecting Yourself from Tick Disease
Ticks present important health hazards to both pets AND people! IMPORTANT: To avoid toxicity keep your cat away from permethrin until thoroughly dry! Then it’s fine.
This is probably the worst tick year ever for our State. Here’s a tip to protect yourself!
TICKS ARE ICK! 🤮 Dangerous, 8-legged parasites that transmit disease to us and our pets. It’s important to protect against ticks, and know how to properly check for, and remove them when needed.
HERE’S WHAT WE RECOMMEND:
🔵 Keep your cats & dogs on monthly prevention ALL YEAR-ROUND!
🔵 Check your pets once coming in from playing in brush, weeds, woods, and trails; in/around ears, between toes/paw-pads, under tail, under collar, under arms, & in groin area.
🔵 When removing a tick, you must do so carefully and entirely. If you pull from the body, the head of the tick can remain embedded, so always pull/twist gently from the head. We recommend keeping one of these on hand >>> https://bayanimalhospitalmi.covetruspharmacy.com/product/3020332/BUSTER%20Tick%20Remover
🔵 WE’RE HERE TO HELP! If your pet is in need of preventative, you see a tick on them, or you have more questions—CALL US! It’s what we’re here for. 😺

TOBI 😍🐾
Tobi was not a “fan” of being in his house while waiting for Dad to come pick him up, so he spent his morning at the front desk in the Beyoncé wind 🌬️💃🐾 Everyone was MUCH happier this way! 😂💙
