Another Fridged morning,10* Yoshi is just sitting in his little heated bed keeping warm. He had been in the house all night, but he wanted to go out in the morning. I guess he's figured out. It's not as warm as he thought outside.

Today is and it's the one, extra-special day a year when everyone comes together to acknowledge and support non-profit organizations such as ours. We know this year has been tough for everyone, but it has been especially taxing on all of us here at Rays of Hope Inc.

We've had $1,000's in veterinary bills in the past few WEEKS, instead of months, like it used to be. 😰 So many of our elder cats have needed emergency care and medications than ever before. On top of this crummy year, we've lost several senior cats due to long-term illness or age. We've been working for over a decade to help unadoptable cats and kittens get the love and medical care they need and deserve. If you can find it in your heart to give something in support of our efforts, we would appreciate it.

2024 has been a year of giving, but not good things. We've been given a lot of disappointment, heartache and expenses.
And again with a sad heart, I must tell you all-that Mr. Bojangles aka Bo Bo had to go to the rainbow bridge this morning.
This past weekend, he wasn't looking like he felt very good so we took him into the vet. His kidneys just totally failed. He has been at the vet's for three days now and with all our hopes and prayers and he will improve. He just did not. This is especially upsetting because he was on a mostly canned food diet and low phosphorus foods, because of his age - which we were guessing could've been 14-16 years old. Mr. Bojangles showed up here, torn and ragged near death's door nine years ago. He's been a really good cat, grateful for everything and never much trouble. We are really going to miss him.💔
