Part 2, caring for senior dogs.
Being aware of the mental and physical limitations of your old dog is one thing. Reminding yourself to extend patience and kindness when you step on a cold turd in the middle of the night is another.
Getting frustrated, angry, or overwhelmed is honestly a part of this journey. Just do your best to not put those emotions onto you old dog.

Learning the early signs of doggie dementia, or Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (I’ve also heard it called canine cognitive disorder/decline), is a great first step in helping your aging dog.
Many veterinarians suspect CCD is widely under diagnosed. Even so, according to a 2013 study, up to 60% of dogs 11 and older have some degree of CCD.
With advances in veterinary care, dogs are living longer than ever, and CCD is likely going to be even more common.

We have been receiving a LOT of phone calls asking about trimming your pets nails. So here are the details, with a little update.
We have four designated walk-in nail trimming times available throughout the week. Show up during any one of these windows, and we will trim your dog's nails.
Clipping is $10, a clip and file is $15.
Tuesday. 8:30am - 9:30am
Wednesday. 8:00am - 9:00am
Friday. 10:00am - 11:00an
*Sunday. 8:00am - 9:00am

FROM 11:00AM - 12:00PM
