You guys…I am so humbled!

Purchasing two more horses was a risk.

These girls are NICE horses.

They are absolutely national caliber show horses.

I expect them to arrive Thursday.

Their lesson schedules are already booked full.

They’re not even in the state of Florida yet and they’re completely booked!

I can’t thank you guys enough. I am so excited to get this portion of my program rolling again. I can’t wait to get in the show ring and bring you all along for the ride.

2025 is going to be so much fun.

And now I need another school horse…😂

Hope you all have a fabulous day!

“Know your circle. Sometimes it's the ones that are riding with you that really aren't riding for you. Sometimes it's the ones that you'd throw a punch for that wouldn't take one for you, and sometimes it's the ones you'd take a bullet for that's behind the trigger. KNOW YOUR CIRCLE. Just because they hang around you, just because they laugh with you, doesn't mean they're for you. Just because they smile in your face, doesn't mean they're talking good about you behind your back. People pretend well. Most will tell you that they got your back, but only few will prove it. Loyalty is RARE, so appreciate the ones who give it to you daily. Not everybody who says "I'm happy for you" wants to see you happy. That's why the better you do with your life, the smaller your circle tends to get because intentions get exposed. So watch who you tell your secrets to, watch who you share your dreams with, because there is no guarantee that the relationship will last forever. Sometimes it's the ones that say I'm praying for you, that are the main ones behind closed doors laughing at your struggle. KNOW YOUR CIRCLE. Real situations will always expose fake people, so pay attention. Just to get ahead in life, people will drag your name through the mud, just to clean up their own image. Just to get ahead in life, people will tear your life down, just to build theirs up. It's a cold world. Friendship isn't about how much you talk, but how much you're there for each other in a time of need. KNOW YOUR CIRCLE. The smaller my circle got, the clearer my vision became. There's not strength in numbers, there's strength in loyalty. Surround yourself with people who won't hesitate to go through it with you, when things get real. Surround yourself around people who won't let your back get against the wall because they actually got your back. If your circle doesn't have that type of loyalty, that type of commitment, then you need to do some surgery and cut some people out. KNOW YOUR CIRCLE.” -Trent Shelton. ✨

Stay focused, keep grinding, and say peace to the ones who don’t support your dreams and accomplishments. 💜

We can train and manage and condition our horses - but we can’t change the fact that they are horses.

Horses are prey animals. Their whole existence is wrapped around the ever on going play in nature between prey and predator.

Their whole being has evolved around the behavior and skills they need to play this game.

They played this game more than 50 million years.
The 5000 years of domestication won’t change that soon.

Your horse is supposed to spook from noise and sight.

Your horse is supposed to bolt when it feels threatened.

Your horse is supposed to buck off what’s on his back.

Your horse is supposed to search for food.

Your horse is supposed to be buddy sour.

All what we call “vices“ is simply a surviving mechanism, implanted deeply into the DNA of every horse.

Your horse lives in a human world, where he has no handbook for in his genes. He is just being a horse.

It’s your task to show him trust, patience, calmness, strength, assertiveness and fairness. But you have to be like this yourself.

You cannot expect what you are not ready to give.

It’s your responsibility to help your horse navigate.

Acts of aggression, confining him, calling him names, defining him as “naughty“, does not teach or prove any horse to behave the right way. It only shows your capability of teaching a horse.

There are so many techniques, methods, tools and trainers all defining “bad behavior“ and their solutions, all hustling and managing around a horse to bend and press it into a form. All of them, that claim to be so knowledgeable, so experienced, so wise, have forgotten, that the horse is just a horse.

It’s our responsibility to make sure they are heard.
