Attention!!
Claws and Paws Exotics and Rattery will be closed between the months of June(mid month)-August. This will provide a communal break for all of our animals during the hottest months during the year. This will also be a time for our company to evaluate and improve our services. We will have an adoption event running until the end of May and then one more litter will be available mid June. This will be the last set of adoptions until August.

We would like to welcome Duff’s first litter! She is a double Rex agouti and was paired with our stud Abbaron who is a Silver fawn hooded! All babies are Rex coated and we’re expecting some exiting colors!

Due to the demand of rats in this area we will now have a more in-depth adoption process.

First you will need to fill out an adoption application
Second you will be sent photos of the available rats (or you can be put on a wait list for a specific type)
Third, select the rats you're interested in and pay a 50% deposit to hold. We currently accept cash or Paypal.
Fourth, select a pickup time! There will be a 15 minute pickup window, if you are late you will have to schedule a new pickup time and pay a late fee.

These new policies are to protect the rats from excessive meet and greets, possible exposure to germs; and to protect our staff.

We have decided to release our holdback male sky! He comes from strong lines but will need work with ear shape and pinched tail. If you’re a breeder interested in improving your stock sent us a message to reserve him! His adoption fee is $35 with breeding rights included!

Fun fact:
Rats are mammals and are born attached to a placenta via an umbilical cord (just like humans!) the mother will nibble off the cord and leave a small bit left over, this will eventually fall off. All of this means that your rat has a belly button!
