A: A Jaguar’s spots are also known as… Rosettes!🌹

Each rosette has a unique pattern of spots inside, which help us tell them apart, a lot like our fingerprints.

is back with Bic and CeCe, our Cape Porcupines!

Bic, our 14-year-old male, and CeCe, our 4-year-old female, can be found in the Children's Enchanted Forest. The Cape porcupine (Hystrix africaeaustralis) is a species native to the southern region of Africa. Last assessed in 2016, Cape Porcupines are a Least-Concern and stable species with no significant threats to their population.

In the wild, Cape Porcupines build large dens up to 65 feet long with a six-foot deep living chamber!

Here’s an exciting update from Shannon, Animal Curator, regarding Mexican Gray Wolves and upcoming developments. Our dedicated team collaborated with LightHawk to ensure the safe transportation of our male wolves to New Mexico for breeding, as advised by the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the SAFE (Saving Animals from Extinction) program. Keeper Jackie even had the opportunity to accompany them and witness their release into their new habitat. We currently have two Mexican Gray Wolves waiting for you to visit, they're cold-tolerant, so come out and say hello 🥰 #conservation #WeAreAZA
