Here are some before and after pictures of a donkey I just did, also a big reason to not overly treat your animals or feed bread as a treat due to high starch and sugars. It will overload their system to founder and rotation. If left for extended periods of time will become irreversible.
This donkey has a ways to go before we can fully reshape the hoof capsules due to extended blood vessels, but I got him at a good starting point.

Wanting to wish all our wonderful clients a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We have again been blessed with Awesome clients many who over the years have turned more to family than friends. This also being the first time in the business's 18 years to have to slow down or close new customer intake due to having a full schedule. So we had a pretty good 1st annual Customer Appreciation Cookout !!!!! Good food and great people also did a few giveaways today as well.
Also a big shot out to the Robinson family for volunteering for the setup, couldn't have done it without you guys.

Here are some shoes I set today both horses I have trimmed for a while before shoeing, so hooves were damage free and clean.

I know I haven't posted much before and after pictures lately so I thought I would throw this guy out there. Today we pulled shoes, tightened the breakover, corrected the balance and reset the angles. Considering what he started at he corrected beautifully.

I trimmed my own personal horse today and wanted to share some examples and an end result of keeping your horses hooves cleaned out, helping to keep you horse out of the mud. Also conditioning to secure a stable and durable sole base to prevent bruising and tenderness, even on rough frozen ground. They say white feet are sensitive and hard to keep. As long as you go through a conditioning process and go step by step it's very possible to have problem free, solid hooves you can ride on gravel and blacktop without having shoes on or worry about your horse getting tender.
