Wetlands are Nature’s most productive eco systems, beautiful and home to over 900 species. They improve our environment, recharge and purify ground water, reduce soil erosion, moderate floods, provide economic benefits and are excellent recreation areas for man kind. But they’re disappearing due to drought, development and changing water tables. The Prairie Pothole Region has lost over 70% of its
wetlands and we’re still losing them at an alarming rate. Ducks Unlimited is the solution. We’re the world leader in wetlands conservation with over 700,000 members and millions of supporters. We’ve already conserved over 14,000,000 wetland acres in North America. We’re also a very efficient 501(c)(3) charity with over 83% of every dollar we raise going directly into the ground. We leverage 6 added dollars to each net grass roots dollar we raise. and we partner with stake holders using a science based, business approach. We don’t inherit the earth from our Father’s. We borrow it from our children. DU and its volunteers are about passion for wetlands, ducks, dogs, family and friends and we need your help.
